LondonEnergy operates the second largest waste contract in the UK, handling and processing nearly 750,000 tonnes of London's waste every year. We have a dedicated team of people working across our various North London sites, making a positive difference to the environment and the local community.
By processing household waste at our facility, we produce enough waste from energy to power 80,000 homes every year and recycle 70% of items through our Reuse and Recycling Centres.
About the Role:
As LMS & Training Lead, you will lead the development and execution of our learning technology strategy, while ensuring efficient delivery of training programmes across the organisation. This position offers the opportunity to shape our learning culture and contribute directly to employee development and organisational capability building.
This role offers a pathway toward a more strategic L&D Business Partner position, with the opportunity to build people management experience by supervising future team members. You'll gain professional development through CIPD qualifications and hands-on involvement in cross-functional projects. The position also supports growth in key areas such as learning design, training delivery, and the implementation of learning technologies.

Key Responsibilities:
Training Programme Management
- Collaborate with department heads to identify training needs and design targeted learning journeys, including onboarding and leadership development programmes aligned with business objectives.
- Coordinate end-to-end delivery of training initiatives - scheduling, logistics, communications - while monitoring KPIs to evaluate effectiveness and ROI.
Compliance & Regulatory Training
- Ensure all mandatory training is scheduled, tracked, and reported accurately, with follow-up processes in place for overdue items.
- Work with subject matter experts to develop engaging compliance content and produce reports for senior leadership and regulatory purposes.
Stakeholder & Vendor Management
- Build strong internal stakeholder relationships to promote learning initiatives and lead forums for feedback and communication.
- Manage external training providers to ensure high-quality delivery and value for money, maintaining oversight of service standards.
- Present training insights to senior leadership and manage the training budget, tracking spend and identifying cost efficiencies.
Requirements
- Proven experience in learning and development coordination or administration, with strong project and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Proficient in Learning Management Systems (preferably Access LMS) and familiar with digital learning design principles and tools.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively across all levels of the organisation.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret learning data and metrics to support continuous improvement.
- Demonstrated ability to work proactively and independently, managing multiple priorities and solving problems effectively.
- Understanding of adult learning theory and its application in designing effective learning experiences is desired.
- Experience in regulated environments, including compliance training delivery and budget management oversight is also desired.
