Training Development Specialist (Contract)
Intellezy is looking for a Training Development Specialist as an independent contractor who will work as a part of broader consulting services team to support the client engagement. The learning professional will have opportunities to work independently and as part of a team at the client.
This person will play a pivotal role in developing change and training programs that support the adoption of technology and new ways of working by corporate and field team members across our client’s organization. This role will focus on developing training materials, to drive the learning and adoption of new applications and processes.
Candidates will have strong instructional design and excellent course development skills, and ability to work with subject matter experts and functional consultants to understand and translate technical business processes and system requirements into training materials for instructor-led, web-based, or distance learning delivery. Strong background in training development, adaptability, and a commitment to excellence are key qualities for success in this role.
Position Details
- Conduct Training Needs Assessments (TNA) to identify training needs.
- Translate business requirements into sound end-user training materials – instructor-led training guides, Web-based training, self-study tutorials, exercise guides, user procedures and job aids.
- Define and populate training data within sandbox environment to support training objectives.
- Develop and author appropriate business process and systems training programs.
- Create and maintain a training development workplan with timelines. Provide regular updates on progress, risks and issues.
- Work with project team to stay aligned on tool configurations and their impacts. Provide feedback to ensure smooth communication and implementation.
Engagement Details
- Full-time (40 hours per week) temporary contractor position with a February start date.
- Project duration: 6–12 months

Required Skills and Qualifications
- Relevant experience in training discipline for technology implementations (corporate, community, or academic settings).
- Strong knowledge and application of adult learning methodologies
- Strong knowledge in instructional design methodologies, including ADDIE
- Strong knowledge of eLearning authoring tools such as Camtasia, Adobe Captivate and/or Articulate Storyline for building simulations and eLearning courses
- Adept at developing training materials and courseware such as course outlines, instructor guides, quick reference materials, job aids, and class exercises.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills with the ability to adapt to changing environments.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design or equivalent work experience
- Familiarity with agile environments is a plus, but not required.
