HomeCloud - Virtual Home Inspector (Property Evaluation)
HomeCloud is the first technology-enabled home inspection alternative. We recently received investment from a prominent group of investors to grow our business. We’re now ramping up and looking to hire motivated individuals interested in joining our high-energy, entrepreneurial team.
In this role, you’ll be working mainly on a computer to analyze the conditions of homes, input various home data points, and work with the team to improve our inspection process. To do this, you'll be reviewing a large number of photos/videos along with a variety of information that has been captured by our onsite team members. You'll need to familiarize yourself with our digital platform (web application) and be extremely detail-oriented to succeed in this role.
We are flexible on the employment type for an exceptional candidate (part-time vs. full-time). You should be very comfortable using a computer and consider yourself a resourceful person. If you're an expert on the all of the different features and major systems found in and around a home (e.g., property inspector, appraiser, retired/ex-home inspector, licensed tradesperon such as an electrician/plumber/roofer/general contractor) and are adept at using technology, then this role is for you!
Core Responsibilities:
- Use HomeCloud’s web application to review photos, videos, and inputted data and remotely certify the condition of a home
- Conduct detailed remote evaluations of home systems, structures, and additional features
- Thoroughly analyze the data collected during the remote inspection to identify any defects, malfunctioning systems, or non-compliance with applicable standards and regulations
- Communicate certification results clearly and concisely to homeowners, prospective buyers, or relevant stakeholders (agents) through various channels
- Engage in continuous learning and development to enhance professional knowledge and skills
- Assist clients in understanding our product, providing additional information where necessary and addressing their queries and concerns
- Share feedback on your experience using the platform to help our product team continuously make improvements
- Be a team player and coordinate with our onsite data collectors when something needs additional explanation or further review
- Provide exceptional customer service at all times to ensure our customers have an amazing experience with HomeCloud and become advocates for the brand
Job Requirements:
- Prior experience with any of the following: home inspections (as a home inspector), appraisals (as an appraiser), home services (as a skilled handyman, electrician, or plumber), or home improvements (as a general contractor)
- Expert knowledge of various features and systems within a home
- Flexible availability and willingness to work late in the evening or weekends
- A positive customer-focused attitude, reliability, and attention to detail
- Exceptional communication skills
Basic Qualifications:
- Clean background check
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Additional secondary education or specialized training is preferred, but not required
