Learning & Development (L&D) Lead – Finance
Position Overview:
As the L&D Lead for Finance, you will play a key role in designing, implementing, and optimizing learning and development initiatives tailored to the needs of our finance teams. You will work closely with finance leaders, subject matter experts, and L&D professionals to ensure that employees across the finance function have the skills, knowledge, and tools to succeed in their roles and contribute to the company's strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Design & Development: Lead the development of L&D programs that enhance the capabilities of finance professionals across a wide range of topics, including financial analysis, reporting, compliance, forecasting, and accounting systems.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with finance leaders and key stakeholders to identify skills gaps and learning needs within the finance department.
Curriculum Implementation: Design and roll out blended learning solutions, including instructor-led training, e-learning, workshops, and on-the-job coaching, that align with business priorities and the specific needs of finance teams.
Continuous Improvement: Assess the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, assessments, and performance metrics. Use data-driven insights to refine programs for maximum impact.
Leadership Development: Develop and implement training initiatives for current and future leaders within the finance function, focusing on strategic thinking, decision-making, and leadership skills.
Technology & Tools: Leverage the latest learning technologies (LMS, eLearning platforms, virtual classrooms) to create engaging, scalable training programs for the finance team.
Change Management: Support the adoption of new financial systems, tools, or processes through targeted learning initiatives to ensure smooth transitions and minimize disruption.
Compliance & Best Practices: Ensure that L&D programs align with industry regulations, internal compliance standards, and best practices in financial education.
Qualifications:
Proven experience (5+ years) in Learning & Development, with a focus on designing and delivering programs for finance professionals or financial services organizations.
Strong understanding of finance functions (e.g., financial reporting, accounting standards, financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting) and the skills required to perform in these roles.
Experience in developing and facilitating training programs using a variety of methods (e-learning, instructor-led training, workshops, coaching).
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance leaders and HR, to align L&D initiatives with organizational goals.
Strong project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Knowledge of Learning Management Systems (LMS) and other learning technologies.
Analytical mindset with the ability to assess training effectiveness and impact.
Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, HR, or a related field. A professional certification (e.g., Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), or equivalent) or L&D certification is a plus.
