JOB PURPOSE
The purpose of this role is to deliver key talent development initiatives from inception to delivery. This requires the project management of a range of initiatives across the three key pillars of Talent Development, Learning and Development and Talent Management.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the delivery of the Talent Development Strategy.
- Project management of a range of initiatives from inception to delivery and outcomes.
- Management of initiatives across the three key pillars of Talent Development, Learning and Development and Talent management.
- Onboarding and support of new members to the Talent Development department.
- Provide detailed analysis and metrics on a broad range of initiatives.
- Conduct research into industry standards and emerging trends within Talent Development, Learning & Development and Talent Management.
- Point of contact for stakeholders.
- Design communication plans and information booklets.
- Working with vendors, placing orders through SAP and monitoring the processing of payments.
- Working closely with the Procurement Department on the procurement and delivery of services required across the three pillars.
- Design and development of marketing for specific initiatives and events.
- Champion continuous professional development (CPD).
- Champion inclusive learning.
- Develop effective working relationships with a range of key stakeholders including industry, educational institutions, membership bodies and state bodies.
- Represent Irish Rail on a range of steering groups, committees and at events.
- Develop beneficial relationships with professional bodies and partner organisations within Ireland, the UK and Europe.
Essential:
- 3 to 5 years’ experience in a similar role
- HR and/or L&D qualification.
- Demonstrated ability to project manage an initiative or event over its entire life cycle.
- Experience in a dedicated learning and development department.
- Knowledge of current developments and emerging trends in the areas of Talent Development, Learning and Development and Talent Management.
- Experience in developing effective relationships with a broad range of stakeholders.
- Advanced IT and Digital skills.
- Experience of reporting on key metrics demonstrating return on investment.
- Proven ability for problem solving and adapting to changing circumstances and priorities.
Desirable:
- CIPD and/or L&DI professional membership.
- Demonstration of personal continuous professional development.
- Knowledge of the areas of Talent Development, Learning and Development and Talent Management.
- Project Management qualification.
- Demonstrate a continuous improvement mindset
- Knowledge of a range of IT and Digital platforms.
