About the role :
Join the Housing programs Team in the Senior Officer, Skills Development position. In this role, you will support the design, development, and implementation of internal and external clients. You will also support strategies and plans for business lines targeting specific training topics based on business needs. You will coordinate related activities and stay up to date to provide advice to management. You will evaluate training outcomes and conduct research to gather and provide best practice information, which furthermore, contributes to the strategic direction for program areas.
This is a temporary position with a duration of 12 months.
What you’ll do:
- Coordinate the organization of training activities and ensure successful delivery and internal client satisfaction.
- Collaborate in the design, development and delivery of program-specific training in a virtual and in-person setting, with an additional focus on the ongoing monitoring of learner progress.
- Liaise internally with clients and managers to determine critical areas requiring learning resources and skills development and identify best practices and methodologies for meeting internal and external client training needs.
- Ensure training and resource material content meet client needs by measuring the effectiveness, usefulness and business impact of training programs and initiatives and reporting results to senior management.
- Build and develop relationships with subject matter experts, within the organization and with external industry partners in order to continually enhance knowledge and expertise.
- Collaborate on the development of training plans, activities, and materials to support the knowledge and skills development of staff, including client-facing staff, to contribute to the achievement of priorities.
What you should have:
- An undergraduate degree in finance, business administration, adult learning and training, marketing, communications, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in designing and developing trainings programs, needs assessments and evaluating training effectiveness.
- Demonstrated experience in researching and developing learning content followed by the deployment of learning framework(s) or work plan(s), using adult learning principles, methodologies and various types of technologies.
- Experience facilitating the delivery of comprehensive training incorporating multiple learning modalities in classroom and virtual settings.
- Strong analytical, problem solving and negation skills, combined with advanced oral and written communication skills, including the ability to speak and write clearly and succinctly to inform a variety of audiences.
- Strong proficiency in the learning industry’s new trends and technology, as well as computer skills related to the development of training tools.
