The Role
We're looking for a creative and passionate Learning Design Specialist to join our People team and play a key role in shaping leadership and management capability across the organisation.
Working closely with the Leadership Development Partner, you'll design and deliver engaging, practical learning resources that help managers lead with confidence and impact. From performance management and coaching toolkits to digital learning content and leadership development resources, you'll transform complex concepts into simple, accessible and user-friendly solutions that support managers in their day-to-day roles.
You'll also take ownership of our ManagerHub platform, ensuring it remains the go-to destination for management guidance, tools and development resources. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who combines strong instructional design skills with creativity, digital expertise and a passion for improving the learner experience.
Key Responsibilities
Learning Design & Content Creation
- Design and develop engaging learning resources, including toolkits, guides, videos, presentations and e-learning content.
- Translate leadership frameworks, management expectations and development programmes into practical, easy-to-use resources.
- Create content that is accessible, visually engaging, on-brand and aligned to organisational priorities.
- Develop tools that support managers in applying learning and driving performance in practice.
Management Development & Performance Support
- Create and maintain resources that support effective people management, including performance management, coaching, feedback and development conversations.
- Develop practical tools and conversation guides that help embed a culture of continuous feedback.
- Ensure management expectations are clearly communicated and consistently applied across the organisation.
ManagerHub Ownership
- Manage and continuously enhance ManagerHub as the central hub for management tools and resources.
- Keep content organised, up-to-date and easy to navigate.
- Use feedback, engagement data and user insights to improve the platform experience.
Digital Learning & Platforms
- Develop and manage SharePoint-based learning sites and digital learning platforms.
- Create innovative digital learning content, including webinars, interactive learning resources and short-form video content.
- Support a flexible, self-service learning model through accessible and engaging digital experiences.
Leadership Development Support
- Partner with the Leadership Development team to support leadership and management development programmes.
- Develop programme materials, participant resources and post-programme reinforcement tools that encourage learning transfer and behavioural change.
Employee Engagement & Communications
- Support employee networks with learning campaigns, webinars and awareness initiatives.
- Create compelling communications that promote learning opportunities and drive engagement.
- Collaborate with Communications, HR and business stakeholders to maximise reach and impact.
Continuous Improvement
- Analyse engagement metrics, user feedback and platform data to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Continuously review and enhance learning resources to ensure they remain relevant, effective and aligned with business priorities.
- Maintain quality standards and ensure content aligns with organisational policies and governance requirements.
What You’ll Need
Experience & Knowledge
- Experience creating learning content, digital resources or communications within Learning & Development, HR or a similar environment.
- Strong content creation skills across a variety of formats, including presentations, toolkits, digital learning and SharePoint pages.
- Experience using digital learning authoring tools such as Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate or similar platforms.
- Experience managing content through SharePoint or comparable digital platforms.
- Understanding of learning design principles and how to create engaging, user-centred learning experiences.
- Ability to simplify complex information into practical, actionable and easy-to-understand resources.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills.

Qualifications
- Qualification in Learning Design, Digital Learning, Communications, Instructional Design or a related discipline (desirable).
- Evidence of ongoing professional development in learning design, digital learning technologies or content creation.
