We're looking for an experienced
Digital Learning & Skills Lead to take ownership of our digital learning strategy and help transform how colleagues learn, develop and succeed across our organisation.
This is an exciting leadership role where you'll lead the design, development and delivery of innovative digital learning initiatives that make a real difference. Working closely with senior stakeholders, subject matter experts and learning professionals, you'll ensure our colleagues have access to high-quality, accessible and impactful learning experiences that support both individual growth and organisational success.
You'll be responsible for shaping learning solutions that utilise the latest technologies, learning methodologies and AI-powered tools, while leading a talented team of instructional designers and digital learning specialists.

What You'll Be Doing
- Leading the end-to-end design, development and implementation of digital learning programmes and solutions.
- Conducting training needs analysis and translating business requirements into engaging learning experiences.
- Championing modern learning approaches including eLearning, microlearning, videos, virtual classrooms, simulations and gamification.
- Driving innovation through the effective use of learning technologies and AI-enabled tools.
- Managing and developing a team of digital learning professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and creativity.
- Working with senior leaders, service managers and subject matter experts to identify skills gaps and develop impactful learning pathways.
- Using learning analytics and workforce data to measure effectiveness, identify trends and support evidence-based decision making.
- Ensuring all learning interventions are learner-centred, accessible, inclusive and aligned to organisational goals.
- Leading quality assurance processes and maintaining high standards across all digital learning outputs.
About You
You'll be an experienced digital learning leader with a passion for creating exceptional learning experiences and driving organisational capability.
Essential Experience & Skills
✔ Significant experience in a senior digital learning, instructional design or learning development role.
✔ Strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design methodologies and learning evaluation frameworks.
✔ Hands-on experience with digital learning technologies such as Articulate Storyline, Rise, Camtasia, Vyond, Canva, Synthesia and similar platforms.
✔ Strong working knowledge of LMS platforms, SCORM, xAPI and learning analytics.
✔ Experience using AI-powered content creation and learning tools.
✔ Proven ability to engage stakeholders, influence decision-making and deliver learning projects from concept through to implementation.
✔ Experience developing learning strategies, business cases and improvement plans.
✔ Excellent communication, leadership and project management skills.
✔ Degree-level education and relevant professional qualifications in Learning & Development, Education, Organisational Development or a related discipline.
Desirable
- Teaching or training qualification.
- Project management qualification.
- Experience within health, social care or other highly regulated sectors.
- Experience leading geographically dispersed or remote teams.
- Strong data analysis and reporting capability.
