Human Resources Coordinator

What will you do at TPH?
The Human Resources Coordinator will assist in ensuring all functions in the department are operating smoothly.
- Support the recruitment/hiring process by sourcing candidates, performing background checks, assisting in shortlisting, issuing employment contracts etc.
- Handle all telephone and written inquiries relating to the hiring and selection of employees
- Organize, file and maintain all employee files with most up to date information
- Integrate all new employees into the organization (paperwork, training, uniforms, onboarding etc)
- Maintain and schedule all Health & Safety employee training & meetings; document attendance and ensure course completion
- Assisting in overseeing the internal health and safety program.
- Maintain connections with school boards, colleges/universities, Employment Ontario, and external contacts.
- Administering weekly payroll for all employees.
- Research and staying on top of grants and incentives for the organization.
- Assist in security clearance maintenance and upkeep for all employees.
- Establish and maintain employee engagement and all communication for company and employees
- Participate in human resource related events such as job fairs, presentations, etc.
- Co-op student selection and management for all departments of the organization.
- Create and maintain recruitment and selection marketing strategies.
- Prepare and assist in client and employee celebrations and events
- Other responsibilities or directives as assigned
What You’ll Bring?
- Previous experience in a similar HR administrative role is preferred
- Experience in recruiting is preferred
- Experience in a construction-related field, would be considered an asset
- Formal Human Resources training/education would be considered an asset
- Bilingualism (English and French) would be considered an asset but not required
- Good organizational and planning skills, ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to demonstrate high level of confidentiality and exercise sound judgement in providing guidance to management.
- Solid organization, efficiency and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize
