LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a well-established organization to identify a Director of Learning & Development to lead enterprise-wide leadership development, talent growth, and organizational effectiveness initiatives.
This is a unique opportunity for a strategic yet hands-on Learning & Development leader who enjoys building programs from the ground up, partnering closely with executive leadership, and creating scalable development strategies that support a growing workforce. The ideal candidate brings a blend of leadership development expertise, organizational development experience, and the ability to influence leaders across all levels of an organization. This role will be 100% on-site in the Portland, OR area and has a base salary of $140,000-$180,000, DOE.
What You'll Do
• Lead the organization's learning and leadership development strategy.
• Design and implement leadership development programs for leaders at all levels.
• Build succession planning and internal talent development initiatives.
• Develop scalable learning frameworks, tools, and resources.
• Facilitate leadership training, workshops, and coaching sessions.
• Partner with business leaders to identify capability gaps and development opportunities.
• Enhance onboarding and employee development programs.
• Establish metrics and reporting to evaluate learning effectiveness and business impact.
• Support organizational development and change management initiatives.
• Lead and mentor learning and development team members.
• Drive continuous improvement across learning systems, content, and delivery methods.
What We're Looking For
• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in Learning & Development, Organizational Development, Talent Management, or related disciplines.
• Proven experience creating leadership development programs and talent strategies.
• Demonstrated success building programs, processes, and frameworks rather than simply maintaining existing initiatives.
• Strong facilitation, coaching, and executive communication skills.
• Experience partnering with senior leadership and influencing across multiple levels of an organization.
• Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
• Experience measuring learning outcomes and driving continuous improvement through data.
• Ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on execution.
