Getting a Flying Start
As Learning Solutions Director, you will define and execute Nexans' global learning agenda while leading a small, agile team and an extensive network of learning stakeholders across the world.
This role is about much more than delivering training programmes. You will act as a strategic partner to business leaders, helping identify future capability needs, strengthening leadership development, enhancing functional academies, and driving innovation across our digital learning ecosystem. You will play a key role in embedding Nexans' leadership model, advancing our culture of continuous learning, and ensuring our employees have access to meaningful development opportunities at every stage of their careers. This position offers significant exposure across the organisation and the opportunity to influence how a global company develops its people in an increasingly digital and fast-changing environment.
How You Make an Impact
- Define and deploy Nexans' global learning strategy, ensuring alignment with business priorities and future capability needs.
- Lead the evolution of our leadership development portfolio, embedding our leadership model across all levels of the organization.
- Partner with key functions including Sales & Marketing, Finance, Purchasing and HR to strengthen and expand their learning academies.
- Drive innovation across our digital learning ecosystem, including our Learning Management System, learning technologies and AI-enabled solutions.
- Build strong partnerships with regional HR teams and business stakeholders to establish effective learning governance and shared priorities.
- Oversee the design, implementation and continuous improvement of strategic learning programmes, ensuring high levels of engagement, quality and impact.
- Promote a strong culture of learning by increasing visibility, accessibility and adoption of development opportunities across Nexans.
- Monitor learning effectiveness, measure impact and continuously identify opportunities to improve the learner experience.
Your Starting Points
- 10+ years of experience leading learning, leadership development or organizational capability initiatives within an international environment.
- Proven experience managing a corporate learning function and influencing senior stakeholders across complex organizations.
- Strong track record of designing and deploying global learning programmes, leadership initiatives and capability-building solutions.
- Experience working with Learning Management Systems and digital learning platforms, with a strong interest in emerging technologies and AI.
- Demonstrated ability to build partnerships, influence without authority and successfully navigate matrix organizations.
- Experience managing external providers, budgets and multiple projects simultaneously.
- Previous people management experience, with the ability to coach, develop and inspire others.
- Fluent English and French, with excellent communication and presentation skills.
- A growth mindset, curiosity, creativity and the ability to bring fresh ideas that challenge conventional approaches to learning.
