The Opportunity
We are recruiting a Learning & Development Manager to design, deliver and oversee a strategic learning programme that supports colleague capability, safety culture and commercial performance across our global operations. This permanent role will work closely with business leaders, HR partners and subject‑matter experts to develop blended learning solutions that drive measurable behaviours and outcomes.
Key responsibilities
- Learning strategy & design: Develop and implement the L&D strategy aligned to organisational priorities, including leadership development, technical skills, compliance and safety training.
- Programme development: Design, commission and maintain engaging blended learning programmes (classroom, virtual, e‑learning and on‑the‑job) using best practice instructional design principles.
- Delivery & facilitation: Deliver training sessions and workshops when required, and coach internal trainers to ensure consistent, high‑quality facilitation across the business.
- Learning technology & evaluation: Manage learning platforms and tools, oversee content curation, and measure learning impact through evaluation frameworks and data‑driven insights.
- Stakeholder engagement: Build strong relationships with senior leaders, HR business partners and external suppliers to ensure learning interventions meet business needs and deliver value.
- Talent & capability planning: Support succession planning and talent development initiatives, including assessment centres, career pathways and mentoring programmes.
- Compliance & governance: Ensure all mandatory training requirements are delivered and recorded in line with regulatory and company standards.
- Continuous improvement: Champion a culture of continuous learning and improvement, keeping abreast of L&D trends and introducing innovative approaches.
What you will bring
- Demonstrable experience designing and delivering learning and development programmes in a complex, multi‑site organisation
- Strong instructional design skills with experience of blended learning approaches and digital learning platforms (LMS experience desirable)
- Excellent facilitation, coaching and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at all levels
- Evidence of using evaluation and metrics to demonstrate learning impact and return on investment
- Project management skills with the ability to prioritise a diverse workload and manage multiple stakeholders
- Relevant qualification in L&D, HR or adult learning, or equivalent practical experience
- A collaborative approach, strong communication skills and a commitment to inclusive, accessible learning
