The Dufresne Group is currently seeking a Manager, People Development within our
Home Office located at
147 Commerce Drive in
Winnipeg, MB.
As a Manager, you are responsible for leading the strategy, design, and execution of enterprise-wide learning and development initiatives across Ashley, Dufresne, Home Office, and Logistics. This role partners closely with business leaders to build scalable development programs that strengthen leadership capability, enhance selling and service excellence, support team member growth, and build succession pipelines across the organization.
This role oversees programs related to leadership development, onboarding, performance growth, competency development, career pathing, and talent readiness to drive employee engagement, retention, and long-term organizational success. This role plays a key part in fostering a high-performance culture aligned to TDG’s values, purpose, and future growth strategy.

As The Manager, People Development You Will
- Lead the development and execution of the overarching TDG People Development strategy across all brands and business units.
- Design and implement leadership development programs that build capability at all leadership levels.
- Oversee TDG First learning initiatives including onboarding, selling skills, service excellence, compliance, and professional development programs.
- Partner with business leaders to identify organizational capability gaps and create targeted development solutions.
- Support succession planning and talent assessment initiatives by building development pathways and readiness plans for key talent.
- In collaboration with HR leadership, develop and maintain competency frameworks, career pathing models, and learning journeys that align with business objectives.
- Evaluate program effectiveness through metrics, insights, and feedback to continuously improve learning outcomes and business impact.
- Lead and coach the People Development team to ensure consistent execution and delivery of high-quality learning experiences.
- Drive adoption of modern learning tools, digital learning platforms, and AI-enabled development solutions to improve scalability and efficiency.
- Oversee & direct a team of Instructional Designers. Approving content & prioritizing work to ensure all align with priorities by each division.
- Business owner for external leadership development vendor resources, managing external training providers, as needed.

As a Successful Candidate You Will Have The Following
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Development, Education, or a related field.
- CHRP, CHRL, CPTD, or related professional designation considered an asset.
- Certifications in Coaching, Talent Development or Adult Learning considered an asset.
- A combination of education and experience will be considered.
