Learning & Development Manager HR
Durban - KwaZulu Natal - South Africa
Our client, a well-known South African company in the financial services sector is looking to add a Learning & Development Manager to lead the design, delivery and evaluation of learning and development interventions that are aligned to the people strategy of developing people to full potential and offering them enriching careers.
This is an EE position, & preference will be given to African & Coloured applicants.
Requirements:
- Honours or postgraduate qualification in Human Resource Management / Organisation Development, Education and Training (OD-ETDP)
- Registered as an Assessor and Moderator
- 5-8 years experience establishing and managing learning and development programmes and operations with experience of identifying and acting upon opportunities for continuous improvement and innovation
- Experience of introducing learning technologies and systems to support the delivery of a broad portfolio of interventions
- Experience of procurement, contracting and flexible budget management
Key Performance Areas:
Implement the Learning and Development Strategy, Policy, Programmes and Plans:
- Collaborate with the HR Director to develop the Learning and Development Strategy in alignment with the organisational objectives and future skill requirements
- Implement, review and update Learning and Development policies, processes and procedures
Manage the Implementation of Learning and Development
Programmes and Plans:
- Monitor the implementation of the learning and development programmes and plans
- Collaborate with individuals across the business to determine and respond to organisational learning and development requirements
- Propose and drive Leadership development interventions
- Establish and maintain relationships with external stakeholder
Ensure Evaluation and Continuous Improvement:
- Establish appropriate methods to measure success and impact of interventions
- Continually evolve and improve intervention delivery channels
Operations Management:
- Identify and approve service providers to implement training requirements as per the training plan
- Monitor payment requests, requisitions, etc. for expenditure,
- Manage and control the L&D budget, monitor and report on expenditure against approved budget allocations and manage supplier relationships
- Manage analytics and reporting mechanisms
- Perform regular audits
Team Management:
- Review performance contracts for team and conduct performance reviews
- Provide guidance, coaching, mentoring and advice to team
