Salary: $3,147.32 to $4,235.37 bi-weekly ($82,145 - $110,543/year)
The position will support both Service Alberta and Red Tape Reduction (SARTR), and Technology and Innovation (TI).

You will report to the Senior Director and play a key role in strengthening the accountability mechanisms for the ministries of Service Alberta and Red Tape Reduction, and Technology and Innovation. You will be a part of the Planning and Performance Measurement Unit which provides business planning, risk management and performance measurement services to the ministries. This work involves facilitation of workshops as well as collaboration and consultation with various program areas.
You will participate on committees to present strategic viewpoints and to establish a corporate presence. You will synthesize internal and external information to provide reporting and recommendations related to risk management, business planning, annual reporting and other day-to-day activities that will inform decisions of senior and executive leaders.
Your responsibilities will include (but not be restricted to):
- Development of ministry business plans and annual reports.
- Development, reporting and management of department outcomes, objectives, performance measures and indicators.
- Implementation of Enterprise Risk Management including risk management insurance, a risk register and risk management framework.
- Advising and providing strategic support to Senior and Executive Management with regards to department deliverables.
- Initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and control of the Ministry’s business planning, annual reporting and performance management deliverables.
- Representing the branch and divisional interests and perspectives of department, cross ministry and external stakeholder committees.

University graduation in a field related to the position assignment, (i.e., Business, Finance), supplemented by four years related experience. Related experience or education may be considered as an equivalency.
Preference will be given to the following:
- Experience in strategic planning, performance measurement and risk management
- Experience working in a fast-paced financial environment with strict timelines and diverse stakeholders
- Experience reporting and presenting to a Senior Leadership team
- Experience in building relationships with cross functional teams
- Project Management and facilitation experience
Equivalencies:
- A one-year related certificate and seven years of related experience
- A two-year related diploma and six years of related experience
- A related Master’s degree and two years of related experience
