Core Accountabilities
As our
Learning & Development Manager (Retail), you will be responsible for:
- Global Retail Learning Strategy & Governance: Define and lead the global retail capability strategy, frameworks and standards, ensuring alignment with organisational priorities, customer experience principles, enterprise L&D approaches and consistent adoption across all markets.
- Programme, Content & Technology Delivery: Own the global retail learning portfolio, designing and delivering scalable, experience‑led programmes (onboarding, capability and flagship initiatives) using a blend of digital, experiential and in‑store learning, with DEI and accessibility embedded throughout.
- Retail Leadership & Capability Development: Design and deliver leadership development pathways for retail people leaders, embedding coaching, feedback, inclusion and performance management capabilities aligned to The DM Way, in partnership with Retail and People teams.
- Insight, Stakeholder Partnership & Change: Use data and insight to measure impact and drive continuous improvement; partner with global and market leaders to prioritise capability needs; lead change management and readiness for new retail learning, capability frameworks and ways of working.
Key Skills & Capabilities
- Global Retail Learning & Capability Strategy: Proven ability to design and deliver global retail capability strategies, creating scalable, experience‑led learning across multiple formats, grounded in a strong understanding of how service behaviours, product confidence and customer experience drive performance and brand advocacy.
- Leadership Development & Facilitation: Significant experience designing and delivering development for operational retail leaders, with advanced facilitation skills to engage diverse, global audiences through high‑impact learning experiences.
- Digital, Insight & Continuous Improvement: Digitally fluent with learning platforms, content standards and emerging technologies, using data and insight to measure impact, inform decisions and continuously improve learning effectiveness.
- Influence, Inclusion & Coaching: Highly effective at influencing senior stakeholders and cross‑functional partners, guiding specialists without direct line management, and embedding inclusive design principles to ensure equitable learning experiences.
