The Operations Training, Learning Experience Designer will be required to learn the business, see the bigger picture, and use data and Subject Matter Experts to guide learning solutions. You will have a curious, innovative and creative mindset in order to solve business needs through high quality, consistent and company branded materials. You will be responsible for developing communications, training guides, presentations, training materials and leveraging training templates and tools.
The Learning Experience Designer will develop training programs to align with company operational processes, quality, technology platforms, systems, new hire and ongoing employee training, including needed procedural, process, and system changes. The role also includes working to format all materials using department-approved/branded designs and support for all of Synapse Health's internal training.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Partner with Subject Matter Experts, Operations business leaders, HR, IT, Compliance, etc. to analyze business problems, training requests, and understand/translate complex policies, procedures, and systems.
- Assess, design, develop, handoff in a train-the-trainer, and evaluate engaging/interactive content for a variety of audiences and delivery modes (instructor-led, eLearning, video, etc.).
- Design training materials that will enhance the trainee's experience to include PowerPoints, facilitator guides, participant guides, assessments, reference material, job aids, and eLearning.
- Create, manage and meet project plan deadlines and deliverables, including status updates to business leaders, SMEs, and training leadership.
- Set and communicate realistic deadlines and goals to team members and stakeholders.
- Communicate often, manage expectations, and obtain stakeholder support.
- Collaborate with SMEs and business leaders to validate materials and incorporate feedback and sign-off on materials.
- Participate in development meetings, UAT sessions, demonstrations, etc. to fully comprehend the impacts of initiatives.
- Manage front-end analysis for instructional requirements that support adult learning theories and an overall training situation analysis before developing a plan for instructional design and development.
- Assist with LMS microlearning courses, run training completion reports, and assign users in the system.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with a major in Communications, Business, Instructional Design or equivalent
- 3+ years of progressive experience in learning/training program design and development
- Ability to work collaboratively and autonomously in a virtual environment
- Ability to understand complex information and translate that into meaningful, impactful learning solutions
- Ability to work with ambiguity and comfortable in fast-paced environments with shifting priorities
- Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong relationship building skills
- Project management skills
- Experience in LMS administration and management
Preferred Qualifications:
- Graduate degree with an emphasis in instructional design, business administration, technical writing or equivalent
- DME/Operations training development experience
- Previous experience working in a start-up, fast paced growth company
