Learning & Development Practitioner

We are partnering with a well-established industrial / engineering organisation operating in a highly regulated environment, looking to appoint a hands-on Learning & Development Practitioner.
This is a critical role focused on skills development, compliance, and the execution of structured learning programmes across a technical workforce.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive and manage the full skills development lifecycle across the organisation
- Compile and submit WSP / ATR reports in line with SETA requirements
- Manage and coordinate learnerships, apprenticeships, and WIL programmes
- Align training initiatives with organisational and operational needs
- Maintain accurate training records, LMS data, and reporting structures
- Manage relationships with training providers, institutions, and stakeholders
- Ensure full compliance with SETA, QCTO, B-BBEE, and audit requirements
- Facilitate internal training and contribute to content development where required
Non-Negotiable Requirements
- Registered Skills Development Facilitator (SDF)
- Proven experience with SETA submissions (WSP & ATR)
- Solid track record managing learnerships and/or apprenticeship programmes
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Learning & Development
- ODETDP qualification or equivalent
- Strong understanding of skills development legislation and compliance frameworks
Industry Preference (Highly Important)
- Mining / Minerals Processing
- Engineering / Manufacturing
- Industrial / Heavy Equipment
- Construction / EPC environments
Candidates from purely corporate or retail environments will not be considered.
