Job Summary
As a Learning and Development Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development within our organization. You will design, implement, and evaluate training programs that align with organizational objectives and enhance employee performance. By utilizing your expertise in instructional and industrial process design, adult learning principles, and organizational development, you will contribute to the growth and success of our employees and the overall organization.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Evaluate current business needs (on ongoing basis) & conduct Training Needs Analysis, and design training programs to deliver on defined organizational mandated outcomes, and address identified knowledge and skills gaps
- Collaborate with various departments and stakeholders to gather input and insights regarding training needs, and to develop Role KPI’s, KSA’s, training objectives and learning outcomes
- Develop best-in-class new hire and continuous training programs and methodologies for all organizational functions. Develop engaging and effective learning materials, including eLearning modules, instructor-led training, virtual sessions, and multimedia presentations
- Facilitate training sessions and workshops, ensuring an engaging and impactful learning experience for participants
- Establish metrics and evaluation methods to assess the impact and demonstrate effectiveness of training programs, transfer of learning and impact of learning on business results. Implement a system to Measure & Validate training results
- Analyze training data and feedback to make data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement
- Communicate effectively with all stakeholders to provide updates, gather feedback, and address concerns related to training initiatives
- Oversee the implementation and management of the organization's learning management system, ensuring proper functionality, accessibility, and user support
- Develop & implement performance audits to validate process adherence and training delivery
- Analyze industrial processes and develop standard operating procedures and training materials, setting a regular schedule for audits/review.
- Establish a recurring schedule of continuous improvement training and development to improve the overall organizational talent level
- Ensure sufficient training resources in each function as per organizational requirements
- Complete post-training testing and assessments to identify gaps post-training and develop retraining initiatives
- Train and coach managers, supervisors and others involved in the employee development life cycle
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Instructional Design, Human Resources, or Engineering (Master's degree preferred)
- Proven experience in instructional design, adult learning principles, and training facilitation
- Familiarity with various learning methodologies, eLearning authoring tools, and multimedia production
- Familiarity with instructional design methodologies to ensure training content is structured, interactive, and caters to diverse learning styles
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
- Proficient in using learning management systems and other related software
- Ability to work effectively in a team-based, collaborative environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to assess training needs and measure training effectiveness
- Experience in training design and implementation in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Ability to adapt delivery methods and content based on the audience, training objectives, and feedback to maximize training effectiveness
