ABOUT VEG
In 2014, VEG was born with a mission to help people and their pets when they need it most by challenging norms and fixing the ER experience. Since then, we've expanded rapidly, with hospitals nationwide open 24/7/365, and created an ER experience that focuses on what our pets and pet parents really need. We've done the same for our people (VEGgies), finding a way to say YES so they are empowered to achieve great things, grow in unexpected ways, and find a place where they truly belong.
We're rethinking emergency care from every angle—from how we run our hospitals to how we support the people working inside them. That's where our headquarters team comes in. Whether building technology to make our hospitals more efficient, recruiting and growing incredible VEGgies, or bringing our brand to life through marketing, our VQ (VEG Headquarters) team makes it all possible—ensuring our hospitals and people have everything they need to help pets and their families.
VEG is a 2025 and 2026 certified Great Place to Work®.
THE JOB
At VQ, we're building Talent Development systems that can scale across more VEGgies, more programs, and more moments in the employee lifecycle, without losing rigor, quality, or trust. That requires more than great programs; it requires clear objectives, disciplined measurement, and feedback loops that actually lead to action, especially during periods of transformation.
We're hiring a Manager, Talent Development Insights & Performance to build and run the Insights & Performance operating system for Talent Development. This role sits at the intersection of data, judgment, and enablement, defining how we measure effectiveness, how we reflect on outcomes, and how insights translate into improvement.
You'll roll up your sleeves to design and run the systems that make performance visible and usable over time: dashboards, reporting, survey structures, governance, and reflection cadences. In parallel, you'll help enable the adoption of new operating models and systems by ensuring they are measurable, tracked, and iterated on, ensuring that change doesn't just launch, but sticks.
This role is about building durable systems, creating clarity in messy environments, and enabling others to make better decisions — consistently, credibly, and at scale.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Build and own Talent Development's Insights & Performance operating system, turning surveys, feedback, and performance data into reliable, usable signals that inform decisions and improvement and are reported to the Board.
- Design and run survey and feedback systems, including deployment, response-rate strategy, and governance, ensuring data is consistent, contextualized, and trustworthy.
- Establish and maintain single sources of truth that show performance trends over time for multiple audiences, reducing ad hoc, manual, and one-off reporting.
- Translate objectives into measurable indicators, partnering with Strategy & Enablement and program teams to ensure outcomes are observable, aligned to intent, and reviewed consistently.
- Synthesize quantitative data and structured qualitative feedback into clear insights that inform program reviews, retrospectives, and leadership discussions.
- Establish standards and guardrails for how data is used, protecting signal integrity and preventing anecdote-driven or misaligned decision-making.
- Partner with department leadership to enable transformation by tracking adoption and outcomes of new Talent Development systems and ways of working, ensuring new frameworks (e.g., intake, prioritization, operating cadences) are measurable, adopted, and continuously improved.
WHAT YOU NEED
- 5+ years of experience in analytics, program operations, strategy & operations, people analytics, or learning analytics roles where you owned reporting systems, measurement frameworks, or performance insights.
- Experience creating and owning reporting, dashboards, surveys, or measurement systems that help teams understand how programs or initiatives are performing over time.
- Strong analytical and systems-thinking skills, with the ability to bring structure to messy, evolving, or incomplete data environments.
- Demonstrated ability to translate data into clear insights, synthesizing quantitative data and qualitative feedback into narratives others can act on.
- Sound judgment around data integrity and context, with the ability to flag risks, limitations, and assumptions before conclusions are drawn or decisions are made.
- Comfort partnering cross-functionally with operators, subject-matter experts, and leaders to align on objectives, measurement, adoption, and follow-through.
- Strong proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets; familiarity with automation tools (e.g., App Script) is a plus.
- Experience designing and administering surveys using tools such as Qualtrics, Google Forms, or similar platforms.
- Nice-to-have: Experience using BI, learning management systems (e.g. Cornerstone), or reporting tools (e.g., Tableau) to translate data into accessible dashboards for non-technical audiences.
WHO YOU ARE
- Empathetic, instinctively taking a people-centric approach, whether supporting your colleagues or making an effort to understand different perspectives
- Have a sense of humility; acknowledging mistakes, sharing credit with others, and lifting up your team's' accomplishments
- Feel a strong sense of ownership over your work, taking responsibility for outcomes and staying committed to achieving long-term, impactful results
- Curious by nature; you ask insightful questions and continuously seek out opportunities to learn and grow your skills and knowledge
HOW WE INVEST IN YOU
- Competitive Compensation Including ($100,000 - $120,000) + bonus + benefits.
- Comprehensive health and wellness benefits that start on day one, and access to free therapy or counseling
- Paid parental leave, up to 10 weeks at 100% of regular salary, and offering inclusive fertility and family-building care for all types of families
- Unlimited PTO to use for vacation or sick days—however you need it!
- Generous employee referral program, so our awesome people can bring in more awesome people.
- And the little (big) things, like casual office attire, ability to bring your fur baby to work, cool VEG swag, food in the fridge for when you're hungry and free lunches twice a week!!
- Company laptop and a monthly cell phone reimbursement
