An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Learning & Development Business Partner to join a forward‑thinking insurance firm who are undergoing significant growth and transformation. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on autonomy, enjoys shaping learning strategy, and is confident facilitating development initiatives across multiple business areas.
Working within a small but highly collaborative L&D Centre of Excellence, you will partner closely with senior leaders to assess capability needs, deliver high‑impact learning solutions, and enhance the overall learning culture across UK and European offices. This is a fantastic role for an L&D professional who wants to lead meaningful projects and influence strategic development initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with senior leadership and departmental heads to understand business priorities and identify skills gaps.
- Design and deliver integrated learning solutions aligned to organisational needs.
- Facilitate leadership development programmes and bespoke training sessions across UK and European sites (occasional travel required).
- Design, deliver, and evaluate soft‑skills training as needed.
- Analyse learning data and expand the Power BI dataset to produce meaningful insights for senior stakeholders.
- Present new initiatives confidently to key stakeholders and manage vendor relationships.
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in L&D business partnering
- Strong background in designing and facilitating workshops, leadership development, and soft‑skills training.
- Deep understanding of adult learning theory and its practical application.
- Confidence working with senior stakeholders and influencing decision‑making.
- Strong data analysis skills to evaluate training effectiveness and inform learning strategy.
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams, adapt to changing priorities, and work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Advanced PowerPoint skills and a proactive, solution‑focused approach.
- CIPD Level 7, relevant degree, or equivalent experience (organisational psychology, adult learning, etc.).
