About the Role
The Learning & Development Manager leads and drives the company’s Learning & Development (L&D) and Competence Management strategy, ensuring Dixstone maintains a skilled, compliant, and future-ready workforce. As the owner of the Training & Education procedure, the role designs, implements, and continuously improves programs that enhance technical capability, safety performance, and professional growth across all business units.
Responsibilities
- Own and maintain the Competence Management System (CMS) and Training & Education Procedure in alignment with international standards.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, industry, and company requirements across all six business units.
- Develop and maintain training matrices defining technical, safety, and professional competencies.
- Design, deliver, and evaluate leadership, technical, and safety programs aligned with business priorities.
- Act as primary contact for competence assurance matters and internal verification.
- Support line managers in meeting competence and workforce development objectives.
- Manage and evaluate external training providers to ensure quality and alignment with company standards.
- Implement and promote the 70/20/10 learning model to maximize learning effectiveness.
- Prepare and deliver the annual Competence Management Plan and associated performance reports.
- Utilize data-driven insights to track learning outcomes and drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in Learning & Development and Competence Management, preferably within the offshore, marine, or energy sectors.
- Strong knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design, and blended learning methodologies.
- Familiarity with international competence standards and regulatory frameworks.
- Proficiency with LMS platforms, e-learning tools, and data analytics.
- Experience applying the 70/20/10 learning model and performance management processes.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and change leadership skills.
Required Skills
