Our Human Resources Program group is looking for someone to join our team and manage our L&D Team. Could this position be for you?
Reporting to the Director, Human Resources, this role leads TRIUMF’s Learning and Development Group. This role serves to create and deliver organizational development and safety training programs and solutions that build capacity and enhance organizational performance in support of the 5-year plan and 20-year Vision.
A core focus is to support subject matter experts (SMEs) across all TRIUMF in creating and managing learning programs, including the use of a Systematic Approach to Training (SAT) through the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation of all training programs.
As a nuclear-regulated facility, TRIUMF is governed under a system of licensing criteria and regulatory conditions, which requires TRIUMF to demonstrate that its systems and controls pertaining to people and training programs are well established, documented, auditable, and managed.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Development of the learning and development program for the lab including developing and maintaining programs to support organizational development and compliance (technical and safety) needs.
- Establishes annual operational and project plans associated with key enterprise or divisional objectives.
- Lead the ongoing process of continuous improvement with the L&D Group, using an evidence-based approach.
- Supports the development of management systems, process, competencies, and training policy.
- Leads the Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation of training programs.
- Ensures continuing relevance of training programs.
- Contribution towards the professional development of L&D team.
- Responsible for the continuing integrity of enterprise learning tools including the Workday Learning Management System (LMS) and vendor learning platforms.
- Develops and maintains system of supporting users including individual learners, supervisors, instructors, and assessors.
- Stays on top of current trends in the learning and development industry and applies these to the organization.

Qualifications
Education & Certifications
- A master’s degree in a related field such as education Science (MS), Arts (MA) in Organizational Development, Organizational Psychology, or Industrial-Organizational (I-O) Psychology.
- CTP, CTDP or other professional learning certifications considered an asset
Skills & Experience
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience managing the organizational learning function.
- Minimum of five years’ experience in a people leader role.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the philosophies, processes, and principles of adult education.
- Knowledgeable of the Systematic Approach to Training (SAT), also known as the ADDIE model of instructional design.
- Experience managing technical and safety learning programs.
- Experience in defining and managing leadership development programs.
- Experience working with LMS platforms and content authoring tools, including Articulate and Adobe.
- Excellent oral and written skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a strong team player.
- Demonstrated ability to clearly articulate and present ideas and information.
- Results-oriented, demonstrating ownership and accountability.
Salary: $133,535.00 per annum plus our comprehensive employer-paid benefits plan
