ABOUT THE ROLE
At Impress, we know that our people are the engine behind our growth. As our Learning & Development Manager, you won't just be running training programmes ā you're building the learning culture that powers everything we do. This is a greenfield opportunity: you'll define what great learning looks like at Impress, from how we onboard new hires to how we develop our leaders across 10+ countries.

Strategy & Leadership
- Own the global L&D strategy ā from onboarding to leadership development ā aligned to business priorities.
- Define what 'great learning' looks like at Impress and build the culture, systems, and team to deliver it.
- Partner with the CPO, department heads, and executive team to identify capability gaps and shape learning solutions.
- Build and grow your own team of modern learning designers over time.
Content & Technology
- Select and manage our LMS and content creation toolstack, including AI video tools and authoring platforms.
- Create or oversee high-quality, engaging training content ā video-first, mobile-friendly, and scalable.
- Enable department education leads across clinical, operations, sales, and support to build their own content.
- Establish quality standards so learning content produced across departments is consistently excellent.
Programmes & Impact
- Design and run onboarding for all new hires ā fast, engaging, role-specific, and globally consistent.
- Build a leadership development programme as the company scales and promotes from within.
- Measure learning impact through data ā completion rates, behaviour change, and performance outcomes ā not just hours delivered.
- Manage the L&D budget and vendor relationships, including funded training plans where applicable.
š REQUIREMENTS
What you'll bring:
- Excited to create something from scratch, with the drive and resilience to figure it out as you go.
- You think in behaviour change and performance improvement ā not training hours.
- Comfortable with AI content tools (Synthesia, HeyGen, Vyond, or similar) and confident evaluating and implementing an LMS.
- A compelling communicator who can influence stakeholders from clinical directors to the executive team.
- You understand multi-country complexity ā multi-language content, different teams, different compliance requirements.
- You have something to show us. Something you built that you're proud of.
Must have:
- Experience: 6ā10 years in L&D, digital learning, instructional design, or enablement ā ideally in a high-growth or tech-adjacent environment.
- Leadership: You've led or built a learning function, or you've been the most senior L&D person in a company and you're ready to own it.
Nice to have:
- Experience in healthcare, retail, or consumer brand environments.
- Background in edtech, bootcamp instruction, or digital content creation.
- Familiarity with platforms like 360Learning, Docebo, TalentLMS, or Sana.
- Spanish language skills ā a strong plus for our Barcelona HQ and Spanish market teams.
- Experience managing FUNDAE / Tripartita training plans in Spain.
