Reporting to the CEO, this is an exciting opportunity to be part of our senior leadership team. We are looking for a highly organised and proactive ‘people person’ to become our Head of People & Recruitment to help support our expansion and lead our people agenda.

You will be responsible for our people strategy, from the point of initial application through to onboarding and beyond. This role combines HR leadership and strategic thinking with a highly hands-on approach, ensuring our people practices effectively support the growth and performance of the business.
Working closely with the Clinical Leadership Team, you will shape and deliver initiatives across recruitment, culture, engagement, and HR operations. We are looking for someone who can think strategically while also rolling up their sleeves to execute, helping to build a high-performing team and a positive, engaged working culture.
Key Responsibilities
Generalist HR:
- Provide broad HR support across the employee lifecycle, ensuring consistent and effective people practices across the organisation.
- Act as a first point of contact for HR-related queries from managers and employees, providing guidance on policies, procedures, and best practice.
- Support line managers with employee relations matters including performance management, absence management, disciplinary processes, and grievance procedures.
- Ensure HR policies and procedures remain up to date and compliant with UK employment legislation and industry best practice.
- Maintain accurate employee records and oversee HR administration including contracts, offer letters, onboarding documentation, and changes to employment terms.
- Own and manage the organisation’s UKVI sponsorship licence, ensuring full compliance with Home Office requirements, maintaining accurate records, and overseeing all sponsorship activities including Certificates of Sponsorship, reporting duties, and visa-related processes
- Partner with managers to support performance review processes and ongoing employee development initiatives.
- Lead and coordinate learning and development activities to build skills, support career progression, and develop leadership capability across the organisation
- Monitor HR metrics such as turnover, absence, and retention, providing insights and recommendations to support business decision-making.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of HR initiatives that support organisational growth, employee wellbeing, and engagement
Recruitment
- Working with the Clinical Leadership Team to understand the business requirements for recruitment and opportunities for optimising capacity
- Lead the recruitment of new team members to support growth across existing clinics and new expansion locations.
- Build a strong short, and long term recruitment pipeline in key strategic locations.
- Proactively engage in direct hiring activity via LinkedIn sourcing, messaging, and building relationships with potential candidates to fill key clinical and operational roles
- Develop and implement effective sourcing strategies, using the most impactful channels including job boards, careers pages, and social media.
- Working with the Head of Marketing reporting on media and channel performance and making recommendations for improved conversion
- Understand the competitive landscape and adopt innovative solutions
Culture & Engagement
- Lead initiatives that strengthen employee engagement and reinforce a positive, high-performing culture across the organisation.
- Partner with the CEO and senior leadership team to embed company values and ensure they are reflected in day-to-day behaviours, leadership practices, and decision-making.
- Design and implement engagement initiatives that support collaboration, wellbeing, and team connection across clinics and central teams.
- Manage and analyse regular employee engagement and pulse surveys, identifying key themes and recommending actions to improve engagement and retention.
- Work with managers to build strong leadership capability, supporting them to create inclusive, supportive, and high-performing team environments.
- Support internal communication initiatives that ensure employees feel informed, valued, and connected to the wider business strategy.
- Partner with the Head of Marketing to strengthen the employer brand and ensure the employee experience reflects the organisation’s values and culture.
- Identify opportunities to recognise and celebrate employee contributions, reinforcing a culture of appreciation and performance.
Essential Skills & Experience
- CIPD qualification (or working towards) or equivalent professional HR experience
- Proven experience in a HR leadership or senior HR role, with responsibility across the employee lifecycle including recruitment, engagement, and HR operations.
- Strong specialist experience leading end-to-end recruitment strategies, ideally within a high-growth or multi-site environment.
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery, taking ownership of initiatives while also executing day-to-day HR activities.
- Experience supporting or leading employee engagement and culture initiatives, with the ability to translate feedback into practical improvements.
- Confident partnering with senior leaders and managers, providing guidance and challenge to support effective people management.
- Strong knowledge of UK employment practices and HR processes, with the ability to manage employee relations matters professionally and appropriately.
- Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and work effectively across teams and departments.
- High level of discretion and integrity when handling sensitive employee information.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to use people and recruitment data to identify trends and support decision-making.
- Confident user of HR systems, recruitment platforms, and data tools, including LinkedIn recruiter, Microsoft Office and all Microsoft Sharepoint & 365 tools.
