Senior Learning & Development Specialist, you’ll shape how our leaders grow, build capability across the business, and strengthen the skills that power Article’s next chapter.

We need a senior specialist who can own and evolve our Manager Development strategy, strengthen succession planning, and design high-impact learning experiences that close real capability gaps.
This role ladders directly into our larger goal of building a strong leadership bench and a high-performing organization ready for what’s next.
Within your first few months, you’ll be leading key manager development programs and building trusted partnerships across functions. In a year, you’ll be proud to say you’ve elevated the quality and consistency of leadership development at Article, with measurable impact on performance and succession readiness.
This is a new role on our team as we invest more intentionally in building strong, capable leaders across Article.

About the Talent & Learning Development Team:
The Talent & Learning Development team supports growth at every level of the organization. We design and deliver programs that build leadership capability, strengthen performance, and prepare our people for what’s next.
We partner closely with People & Culture Business Partners, functional leaders, and senior stakeholders across the business. We are a hybrid team and you’ll be in the Vancouver HQ office at least 3 days per week in alignment with our Work Location Policy.
What You’ll Do:
Manager & Leadership Development Strategy- Own and continuously evolve the end-to-end Manager Development strategy aligned to business priorities and future capability needs
- Provide input on learning and development strategy, annual operating plans, and investment briefs
- Lead and operationalize the succession planning program across the organization
Program Design & Delivery- Design, develop, and deliver blended learning programs focused on leadership skills and Grow competencies
- Lead the CliftonStrengths development program, including workshops and 1:1 strengths coaching
- Facilitate engaging learning experiences in person and virtually
- Research, review, and select external training content to support evolving learning needs
- Leverage AI-enabled tools to accelerate instructional design, content development, and program iteration
- Stay aware of new trends and tools in skills development and integrate relevant innovations
Stakeholder Partnership & Enablement- Partner with senior leaders and subject matter experts to conduct needs assessments and design targeted training solutions
- Train People & Culture Business Partners to deliver live Particle and management training content in their local regions
- Develop communication plans that support adoption and engagement in learning initiatives
- Manage the #Manager-Foundations Slack channel to foster community and ongoing learning
Measurement & Continuous Improvement- Evaluate program effectiveness and provide quarterly reporting on outcomes and impact
- Use data and feedback to continuously refine programs and strengthen capability across the organization
Team Development & Coaching- Act as the internal subject matter expert on leadership skills development
- Coach and develop junior team members to strengthen overall team capability
Who You Are:
- 7+ years designing, developing, and delivering learning programs in corporate environments.
- 5+ years building and facilitating development programs for people leaders
- Deep expertise in instructional design and adult learning principles.
- A confident facilitator and coach who can challenge and support leaders at all levels.
- Comfortable partnering with senior stakeholders (VPs, C-suite and function owners) and translating business needs into practical learning solutions.
- Experienced with LMS platforms and authoring tools.
- Skilled at measuring impact and using data to continuously improve programs.
- Curious and adaptable, staying current on new tools and trends in skills development.
- Legally able to work in Canada.
- Completion of criminal background check.
