Description
The Learning Designer collaborates with team members and stakeholders to support the creation of learning solutions that meet business needs. This role focuses on content development, event coordination, contributing to design processes, supporting content creation, assisting with event planning, and applying organizational standards and policies. The role emphasizes collaboration and delivering quality work that contributes to meaningful learning experiences.
Roles And Responsibilities
- Design & Development: Support the design and development of live, virtual, and digital learning solutions that align with client business needs.
- Team Collaboration: Contribute to a positive, client-focused team environment by demonstrating collaboration and maintaining a supportive attitude toward colleagues and clients.
- Project Management: Assist in managing assigned design tasks and project components, showing initiative and critical thinking while working independently or in a team setting.
- Analytical Thinking: Apply analytical thinking to support problem-solving efforts and contribute to data-driven solutions for learning challenges.
- Cross-Functional Partnership: Collaborate with clients, Learning Consultants, and cross-functional and international teams—including Enablement & Operations and Applied Innovation—to support integrated delivery of learning programs.
- Accountability: Meet deadlines and take ownership of assigned deliverables, ensuring quality through thorough self-review and incorporating feedback from senior team members.
- Communication: Communicate progress, challenges, and questions to supervisors and team members, maintaining transparency about workload and availability.
Baseline Expectations & Requirements - Core Skills: Demonstrated skills in consulting, instructional design, content development, event planning, and learning asset creation.
- Soft Skills: Strong collaboration, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
- Technical Proficiency: * Proficiency with virtual delivery platforms and basic digital learning tools (e.g., storyboards, SharePoint sites, PowerPoint/Word show flows, Synthesis, Articulate 360, etc.).
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including intermediate Excel skills (e.g., basic pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data manipulation).
- Professionalism: * Effective communication skills and the ability to propose solutions and maintain clarity about task status, capacity, and challenges.
- Punctuality and readiness to actively participate in team activities and assignments.
- Be accessible and responsive to team members and stakeholders.
- Work Style: * Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities, working independently with initiative while proactively seeking guidance when necessary.
- Commitment to attending virtual meetings with video enabled and participating in-person as required for team cohesion.
- Experience & Education: * 1-3 years supporting training and development projects, preferably within a professional services environment.
- High school diploma required.
