About TelyRx
TelyRx is a rapidly growing telehealth and pharmacy company operating a fully integrated digital health platform combining telemedicine, pharmacy services, and patient care across multiple states. As we prepare for our next phase of growth, we are investing in the people infrastructure to match our scale, starting with how we develop, train, and retain the team that makes it all work.
The Opportunity
This is not a role where you inherit a polished program and maintain it. You also won’t be starting from a blank page. We’re engaging a consultant to develop foundational training content before you start, so your first weeks are spent refining that material and getting in front of teams, not just writing from scratch. From there, you own it all: developing new content, iterating on what exists, and delivering every training program across the company. You are the L&D function. There is no one else facilitating, presenting, or running sessions. This is your show.
You’ll report to the Director of HR & Associate General Counsel and work closely with department heads across Pharmacy, Customer Experience, Shipping, and Administration at our Clearwater headquarters and additional pharmacy and operational locations as we continue to grow.
What You’ll Own
- A comprehensive People Manager Fundamentals curriculum (8 modules) covering hiring, onboarding, expectations and feedback, performance management, terminations, motivation, policy enforcement, and cascading communications, which will be required before any employee is promoted into a management role
- A redesigned new hire onboarding program that includes company orientation, values and culture immersion, public company obligations, HIPAA training, role-specific tracks, 30-60-90 day frameworks, and a buddy/mentor system
- Culture and values training aligned with TelyRx’s mission and delivered as an interactive, scenario-based experience for all employees
- Training on corporate governance, regulatory obligations, and confidentiality requirements in conjunction with the legal department as the company enters its next stage of growth
- Enhanced compliance training programs (sexual harassment prevention, HIPAA, OSHA/bloodborne pathogens, anti-discrimination/EEO, workplace safety) that replace check-the-box modules with tailored, interactive content that drives behavioral change
- Department-specific operational training programs for Pharmacy, Customer Experience, and Shipping across all locations - standardized SOPs, training manuals, and competency checklists that ensure cross-location consistency as we scale
- Manager cascade modules to equip people managers to communicate company changes, answer team questions, and translate leadership decisions effectively
Requirements
What You Bring
Required
- 5+ years of experience in learning and development, organizational development, or training with a track record of both building training programs and personally delivering them to diverse audiences across levels and functions
- Equal parts content developer and facilitator - you can build a training program from a set of objectives and then walk into a room and deliver it with confidence. You’ll do both regularly
- Healthcare, pharmacy, or regulated industry experience. HIPAA compliance training is non-negotiable for this role
- Strong background in management and leadership development programs
- Experience with learning management systems (LMS) implementation and training tracking/reporting
- Multi-site experience or willingness to travel approximately 25% to other pharmacy and operational locations as the company scales
- Comfortable operating at startup speed - you can develop a training module on Monday and deliver it on Wednesday. You know when “good enough for now” is the right call and when “perfect eventually” is the goal
Preferred
- PHR/SPHR, SHRM-CP/SCP, or CPTD certification
- Experience in a company navigating significant growth milestones or organizational transformation
- Familiarity with Paylocity or similar HRIS training modules
- Experience building training programs in a multi-state regulatory environment
Skills
Who You Are - Skills and experience matter, but so does how you work. This role requires a specific type of person:
- You’re a self-starter who doesn’t wait to be told what to do. When you see a gap, you flag it, propose a solution, and start building - without needing to be asked
- You take full ownership of your function. You don’t treat this as a set of tasks someone hands you. You treat it as your department to build and run. You think about what’s next before anyone asks
- You’re hungry. You want to own something meaningful, not just execute someone else’s playbook. The idea of building a function from the ground up energizes you, not intimidates you
- You work well with a leader who provides direction and guardrails, not micromanagement. You take guidance, run with it, and come back with a near-finished product ready for review. You’re not afraid to get the information that you need by reaching out directly to the correct sources
- You’re comfortable being visible across the organization. You’ll be the face of L&D to every department, every manager, and every new hire. That excites you
- You have strong opinions, loosely held. You’ll make recommendations backed by data and experience, push back when you disagree, and adjust when priorities shift
- You’re resourceful. In a company this size, you won’t have a team under you or an unlimited budget. You figure out how to get it done with what’s available and flag what you need to do it better
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary: $95,000–$115,000, commensurate with experience
- Bonus eligibility
- Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision
- Opportunity to build a function from the ground up at a company in a high-growth phase
Why This Role Matters
We’re a company where new hires arrive engaged and optimistic, and we want to make sure that energy doesn’t fade. Our best departments thrive under strong managers; our weakest struggle under managers who were never taught how to lead. This role exists to break that cycle and to give every manager the tools to lead well, every new hire the onboarding they deserve, and every employee a reason to stay and grow. That matters for retention, for engagement, and most importantly, for the humans who work here.
