Location: Edinburgh (primarily on-site with flexibility)
We're working with a well-established organisation in Edinburgh to appoint a Learning & Development Adviser to play a key role in building capability, performance, and confidence across the business.
This is a hands-on, high-impact L&D role for someone who enjoys being close to the operation, working with managers, and seeing the direct results of their work.
You won't be sitting behind a desk designing theory-based programmes. You'll be embedded in the business, shaping how people learn, develop, and deliver for customers.
The Role

Lead training needs analysis across operational and corporate teams
Design and deliver high-quality learning programmes, both classroom and blended
Own and continuously improve induction and onboarding
Support managers to develop their people through coaching and capability frameworks
Deliver customer service, systems, and soft skills training
Work closely with external training partners
Measure training effectiveness and report on ROI
Maintain accurate learning records and governance standards
Adapt programmes based on feedback and performance data
This role is primarily on-site to ensure strong relationships and real business impact, with some flexibility built in where operationally possible.

- Experience working in operational, customer, or service-led environments
- Confidence using systems and digital tools to support learning
- The ability to influence managers and challenge constructively
- A practical, solutions-focused approach
Experience in regulated, contact centre, utilities, or customer service environments is highly desirable, but not essential.
Why Apply?

You'll benefit from:
- High visibility across the business
- Strong stakeholder engagement
- Genuine influence over capability and performance
- A role where your work delivers measurable impact
- A supportive environment that values learning and improvement
