As part of your portfolio as a Manager: Learning & Development you will:
- Development and execution of the Learning & Development strategy aligned to organisational priorities, business growth, and future capability needs
- Translation of enterprise and Fintech capability requirements into scalable learning frameworks, programmes, and delivery roadmaps
- Integration of leadership, skills, and talent development initiatives into a cohesive L&D operating approach
- Governance and continuous refinement of L&D initiatives to ensure strategic impact, relevance, and sustainability
- Champion the development of Fintech scale-up capabilities across the organisation, including but not limited to product mindset, data literacy, risk and compliance awareness, agile collaboration, and customer-centric innovation within financial services constraints
- Design and implement blended learning solutions aligned to evolving Fintech capability requirements
- Application of instructional design methodologies and learning science principles to create UX-informed, effective learning journeys
- Translation of complex technical, regulatory, and business concepts into engaging, learner-centred experiences
- Design of role-based learning journeys to support role readiness, progression, and successor development
- Delivery of Fintech-aligned learning journeys and curricula, including high-quality digital and blended programmes that enable continuous capability building
- Management and continuous improvement of the Fintech learning experience across LMS and digital learning platforms
- Partnership with UX/UI, Product, and Technology teams to enhance learner experience, usability, and adoption
- Curation and ongoing management of digital learning content from internal and external content providers
- Application of Learning analytics and exploration of AI-enabled learning technologies to drive personalisation and measurable learning impact
- Support for rollout and adoption of new learning technologies, platforms, and tools
- Delivery of Talent Development dashboards and learning analytics reports, with a focus on learner engagement, capability enhancement and assessed development gap-closure rates
- Development and execution of the annual Skills Development Plan and WSP/ATR aligned to business objectives and legal mandates, including skills audits and training needs analysis in partnership with business leaders and HRBPs
- End-to-end compliance with the Skills Development Act, EE Act, and B-BBEE requirements, including ownership of the Skills Development element of the B-BBEE scorecard, audit readiness, and optimisation of spend and demographic targets
- Design and management of learnerships, internships, and training programmes with accredited providers; primary liaison with SETAs and internal stakeholders to support structured skills and personal development planning
The incumbent must have the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Education, Psychology, Business, or related field
- Postgraduate qualification in L&D, Instructional Design, UX, or Digital Learning (preferred)
- Certifications in Instructional Design, Learning Experience Design (LxD), Agile/Scrum, or Product (advantageous)
- 5–7 years’ experience in Learning & Development or Talent Development roles
- Demonstrated, hands-on experience in instructional design and digital learning design
- Exposure to LMS administration and learning technology ecosystems
- Experience managing leadership development journeys and talent programmes
- Exposure to Fintech, Financial Services, Technology, or Product-led environments (preferred)
- Experience working in Pan Africa multi-cultural experience
