Role Overview:
Korn Ferry is partnering with a global, industry-leading software company on their search for a Director, Learning & OD. As the Director of Learning & Organizational Development, this leader will play a pivotal role in partnering with executives and managers to advance people strategy. The Director will operate both strategically and hands-on—building relationships, collaborating with key business leaders, and assessing organizational needs to design, implement, and measure impactful programs. This role ensures the people function is tightly aligned with and supports the broader business strategy.
Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Design and execution of learning and leadership development strategies, enterprise-wide change and culture initiatives, AI-enablement leadership, and the development of job architecture, career frameworks, and diversity and inclusion programs. Leveraging data, market intelligence, and employee listening insights, you will translate findings into actionable strategies and build measurement approaches to assess impact and effectiveness.
- Manage a team of four direct reports, setting clear priorities, offering regular coaching and development, and ensuring strong performance and alignment with organizational goals.
- Lead change management initiatives and oversee leadership development programs.
- Own AI enablement and organizational readiness for AI adoption, including strategy, execution, and ongoing support.
- Oversee job architecture and career framework design and maintenance.
- Own all aspects of leadership development, with an increased focus on integrating AI into learning strategies.
- Innovate and evolve blended learning approaches, identifying needed systems, tools, and methods to create scalable, efficient learning solutions.
- Leverage and experiment with AI tools to enhance learning, development, and organizational effectiveness.
- Analyze KPIs, HR metrics, and workforce data to uncover trends and root causes, translating findings into actionable insights and proactive recommendations to strengthen organizational performance and effectiveness.
- Design and implement programs that strengthen organizational capabilities to attract, retain, inspire, and develop leaders at every level.
- Develop and deploy leadership competency models and comprehensive leadership development programs aligned with organizational needs.
- Create career pathways and learning programs that support employee growth and development through a skills-based learning approach.
- Build and execute scalable, measurable, and outcomes-driven programs across culture and engagement, learning and development, retention and rewards, and diversity and inclusion—ownership includes leading the annual engagement survey and driving follow-up action planning.
- Oversee the design and delivery of an effective onboarding and training experience that accelerates new-hire productivity and integration.
- Evaluate current workforce capabilities and identify gaps related to future skill requirements.
- Conduct training needs assessments and develop action plans to address leadership and management skill gaps across departments.
- Design, develop, and deliver global learning programs to enhance leadership capability, management effectiveness, team performance, and overall employee development.
- Track and analyze the effectiveness of learning and development initiatives, making data-informed updates to curriculum, content, and program design as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in organizational development, learning, content creation, talent developed, or a related area.
- Experience designing and developing programs that are customizable, scalable, and effectively tailored for diverse audiences.
- Strong AI literacy, with the ability to evaluate tools, guide adoption decisions, and support responsible and effective organizational use.
- Applies practical knowledge of AI technologies to enhance learning, leadership development, and organizational effectiveness.
- Exceptional project and process management capabilities, with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple initiatives and deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.
- Brings global work experience and demonstrates the ability to navigate and thrive in cross-cultural environments.
- Prior experience working in a technology-driven organization is highly preferred.
- Must be based in the Atlanta area and able to work onsite three days per week.
