Who We Are Looking For
We are seeking a highly organized, professional, and people focused People Services/HR Coordinator to support the delivery of effective and compliant HR services at the Club, with a strong focus on employee relations, employee engagement, a growth and performance culture, and a positive workplace environment.
As the ideal candidate, you bring a growth mindset and a strategic, improvement focused approach to strengthening the employee experience, supporting leaders and employees through performance and employee relations matters, and ensuring consistent practices across recruitment, onboarding, training, benefits, payroll support, policy maintenance, and employee communication. You are adaptable to change, flexible with shifting priorities, comfortable working independently under low supervision, and committed to confidentiality, sound judgment, and proactive support that strengthens retention, engagement, performance and long term success.
Ability to reliably commute to 44 Price St, Toronto, ON is required.
Total Compensation Package
Total compensation is valued at $82,000 and includes an annual base salary, group health benefits, fitness reimbursement, paid breaks, paid personal emergency days, daily staff meals, a career development fund, and a monthly cell phone reimbursement.

Hours of Work
40 hours per week, with scheduling flexibility required. Ability to work onsite consistently is required.
Experience
Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience in full cycle People Services or HR coordination role supporting administration, including recruitment, onboarding, training, employee relations, performance management, benefits, payroll support, and policy maintenance.
Competencies and Technical Skills

- Employee engagement support skills, including coordinating initiatives, communications, and activities that strengthen connection, retention, and workplace culture.
- Strong written and verbal communication, including drafting polished employee communications, updates, notices, and internal content, ensuring clear and consistent messaging.
- Excellent administrative accuracy and attention to detail for People Services/HR documentation, confidential records, reports, tracking, and compliance files, supporting consistency and data integrity.
- Strong project execution skills with planning, follow through, and ownership of deadlines for assigned People Services initiatives, supporting timely and reliable results.
- Systems confident with accurate data entry, HRIS and database maintenance, and basic reporting and tracking, enabling reliable recordkeeping and trend insight.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Suite, supporting efficient documentation, reporting, and communication tasks.
- Sound judgment, discretion, and confidentiality when handling sensitive employee information and employee relations matters, maintaining trust and compliance standards.
- Strong growth mindset, with openness to learning, continuous improvement, and adaptability to change.
- Adaptable and flexible with changing priorities and operational needs, supporting consistent People Services delivery.
Education and Credentials
- Post secondary education in Human Resources/People Services
- Valid HR certification and knowledge of Ontario employment legislation is required.
- Private club or hospitality experience is an asset.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the planning and implementation of People Services strategy and initiatives aligned with the Club’s goals, values, and service standards.
- Support the development of a growth mindset, employee engagement, and a strong performance culture across the Club.
- Serve as a first point of contact for employee questions and concerns related to People Services/HR and employee relations matters.
- Support employee counseling and conflict resolution including workplace investigations.
- Support full performance management cycle including performance reviews, exit interviews, performance improvement initiatives and documentation for employee relations matters.
- Coordinate recruitment and onboarding activities, including postings, scheduling, interviewing, documentation, and orientation.
- Manage assigned People Services/ HR projects such as employee communication, employee engagement, arrangement of employee events, etc.
- Support training and development planning, scheduling, tracking, and recordkeeping
- Administer benefits and RRSP enrollments and updates.
- Support payroll administration.
- Support policy maintenance, employee acknowledgements, and legal compliance tracking.
- Maintain accurate People Services records, reports, and files, and support special projects as assigned.
What a Typical Day Looks Like
A typical day includes supporting employees and leaders with People Services/HR inquiries, assisting with employee relations and engagement initiatives, coordinating recruitment and onboarding activities as assigned, maintaining accurate confidential records, supporting payroll and benefits administration as assigned, preparing employee communications and documentation, working on assigned People Services projects, and collaborating with leaders across departments to strengthen a positive, consistent workplace experience.
