About The Role
We’re looking for a visionary and strategic leader to build the future of business and leadership development at eBay. This role is a foundational pillar of our new Future of Work team and will serve as the driving force behind how we scale learning for tomorrow’s challenges.
As the Sr. Manager, Talent Success: Learning & Future Work, you will report to the Director of the function and lead our global strategy for all non-technical learning. You’ll audit and standardize current efforts to develop a cohesive, enterprise-wide approach that’s scalable, data-informed, and future-ready.
You will design the central learning engine for all future non-technical skilling initiatives—from human-centric capabilities to business-specific skills—and lead the development of academy-based learning programs that align with and inform eBay’s evolving enterprise skills taxonomy. Your work will ensure every learning experience contributes to a clear, measurable view of capability growth across our workforce.
You’ll partner closely with the Sr. Manager, AI & Future of Work to harness the AI Academy as a blueprint for all future academies, ensuring our approach to learning and skills is integrated, inclusive, and aligned.
If you’re energized by translating complexity into clarity, leading change at scale, and building the systems that enable an entire workforce to thrive—this role is for you.

- Champion a culture of continuous learning and internal mobility through accessible, relevant learning pathways.

Skills Taxonomy & Data-Driven Learning
- Partner with the Future of Work and People Analytics teams to build and operationalize eBay’s enterprise skills taxonomy.
- Use taxonomy insights to shape program design, future academy topics, and workforce capability planning.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Serve as the primary learning strategist for all non-technical functions, partnering deeply with business leaders and PBPs.
- Collaborate with the Sr. Manager, AI & Future of Work to ensure a cohesive, non-redundant skilling strategy across technical and non-technical audiences.
- Curate and co-create content with internal SMEs and external partners to ensure learning relevance, impact, and accessibility.
- Build a community of practice that connects and amplifies learning efforts across eBay.

- Dedicated to working the Hybrid Model with 3 days a week in our Austin, TX office.
- 8+ years of experience in Learning & Development, Digital Transformation, or Talent Strategy, ideally in a sophisticated, matrixed organization.
- Proven track record leading critical initiatives from discovery and audit through to implementation and governance.
