Learning & Development Specialist with a strong background working with customers
Position Overview
The Professional Services Manager will develop and deliver comprehensive training programs to prepare customers for successful adoption and utilization of DroneSense software modules — DroneSense Pilot, DroneSense Airbase, and DroneSense Remote. In addition, this role leads professional services offerings, including program auditing, policy development, FAA waiver writing, and potential new service lines. This position requires deep product knowledge, excellent instructional design skills, and the ability to engage with customers at all levels.
What would I be doing?
- Oversee the Customer onboarding and other learning processes from beginning to end for multiple Customers in parallel
- Lead and coordinate the Customer onboarding kickoff meeting and subsequent milestones while ensuring appropriate Customer engagement
- Develop and maintain the Customer onboarding plan including timeline and milestones
- Build deep rapport with Customers and leverage those relationships to understand the Customer’s unique mission at an intimate level
- Build and deliver high quality in-person and virtual training to Customers with varied use cases and personas
- Develop documentation and training materials
- Using a consultative approach, identify areas of opportunity to provide Customers with best practices and operating advice
- Using internal tools, document conversations and key highlights, and flag any warning areas to Sales and Product leadership
- Travel up to 40% of the time

Qualifications
- 4+ years in a Public Safety role
- Excellent problem solving capabilities
- Knowledge of Training best practices.
- Experience with Key tools a bonus: Excel, Hubspot, Zendesk
- Experience working in a SaaS startup is a bonus
- Experience with DroneSense is a bonus
- Proven track record in a fast-paced and high growth environment
- Strong communication skills: verbal, written and presentation
- Ability to dive into details, but also step back and consider a problem strategically
- Strong influencer skills.
- 2+ years prior experience with Public Safety UAS.
Experience
- A low-ego, team-first mentality.
- You know when to get your hands dirty and when to lead through influence
- Extensive experience managing various stakeholders and building cross-functional relationships across the business
- Experience in aviation, public safety, and/or unmanned aerial systems is a bonus
- DroneSense employees full time US citizens who are current residence in one of the 50 contiguous United States. Though our positions are "remote" we do not work with offshore/near shore individuals or contractors to stay in compliance with our client's requirements.
