The Senior Learning & Development Specialist designs, develops, delivers, and evaluates high-impact learning programs that build leadership and organizational capability. Working closely with the L&D Manager, HR Business Partners, and business leaders, this role translates strategic priorities into engaging, competency-based learning experiences aligned with the enterprise learning framework. The Specialist leverages instructional design expertise, adult learning principles, and emerging technologies to support continuous learning and measurable outcomes across the organization.
What You Will Accomplish With Us
Learning Design & Delivery
Collaborate with the L&D Manager, HR Business Partners, and stakeholders to assess learning needs and align programs with business goals.
Design and develop leadership, technical, and soft skills curricula and blended learning approaches.
Facilitate learning sessions across employee levels, tailoring delivery to diverse audiences and formats.
Create engaging learning content using authoring tools, video production, and AI-enabled tools.
Content Development & Curation Support
Develop multimedia learning content, including interactive modules, videos, and simulations.
Partner with internal SMEs and external vendors to source or co-create content that meets quality and alignment standards.
Provide input on learning resource library organization and content relevance.
Learning Technology & Innovation
Support LMS course setup, reporting, and feature enhancements in collaboration with the LMS Coordinator/Specialist.
Integrate emerging technologies such as microlearning, social learning, and AI personalization features into learning solutions.
Measurement & Continuous Improvement
Apply evaluation models (e.g., Kirkpatrick) to measure learning effectiveness and business impact.
Use learning analytics to recommend improvements and optimize programs.
Stay current with L&D trends and best practices, introducing innovative ideas to enhance learning.
Collaboration & Coaching
Support talent management initiatives through targeted learning interventions.
Coach HR colleagues and leaders to enhance facilitation skills and promote effective learning practices.
Contribute to organizational initiatives involving change management, diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.
What You Bring To Our Team
Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Adult Education, Human Resources, Organizational Development, Educational Technology, or related field.
5+ years of experience in learning design, development, and facilitation, including leadership development.
Proficiency with learning design methodologies (ADDIE, SAM, Design Thinking) and adult learning principles.
Skilled in e-learning authoring tools (Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate, Vyond) and blended learning.
Experience with LMS platforms (e.g., SAP SuccessFactors Learning) and learning technology integration.
Demonstrated experience applying learning evaluation methods and using data for program improvement.
Portfolio showcasing innovative learning solutions.
Bilingualism (French / English) - Need to interact on a regular basis with our internal Master Group collaborators across the country. After evaluation, it has been determined that no other solution can meet these professional obligations.
Technical Skills
Proficiency with authoring tools (Articulate 360), content design tools (Canva, Genially).
Familiarity with AI tools for content development (ChatGPT, VoiceMaker, Microsoft Copilot).
Experience supporting LMS administration and reporting alongside LMS Coordinator/Specialist.
Preferred
Certifications in instructional design (CTDP, CPLP, ATD)
Experience with emerging technologies (AI, mobile learning).
Background in consulting or corporate talent development.
