The Director of Corporate Training and Development is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing all corporate training programs to enhance employee growth and organizational performance. Reporting to the Vice President of People and leading a team of training and development specialists, this role plays a key part in creating a dynamic and engaging training environment aligned with the organization’s strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities
Training Strategy & Program Development
- Develop and implement comprehensive training strategies that address company-wide needs, including new hire orientation, role-specific onboarding, leadership development, communication skills, expense reporting, and other training initiatives as identified by senior leadership.
- Create and deliver interactive training programs with a remote-first approach, while coordinating in-person sessions as needed.
Program Evaluation & Continuous Improvement
- Assess training effectiveness, including curriculum impact and instructor performance, and recommend improvements.
- Conduct surveys and needs assessments to identify gaps and develop targeted learning solutions.
Leadership & Team Development
- Manage, mentor, and develop a team of training specialists to achieve departmental objectives.
- Support managers in coaching and developing their teams using career pathing and professional development strategies.
Operational Management
- Oversee training budgets, vendor partnerships, and contracts to ensure cost-effective solutions.
- Collaborate with external providers to enhance training offerings.
Compliance & Content Management
- Ensure all training programs meet regulatory and compliance standards.
- Maintain training materials, manuals, and multimedia content for accessibility and consistency.
Professional Growth & Innovation
- Pursue advanced certifications to stay informed about evolving learning methods and trends.
- Stay current on e-learning technologies, tools, and best practices.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Proven experience in developing and leading corporate training programs.
- Strong knowledge of instructional design principles and e-learning platforms.

- Proficiency in Learning Management Systems (LMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Education, Psychology, or a related field.
