Brightwater Executive is delighted to partner exclusively with a leading not-for-profit environmental organisation for their Head of People and Culture role opening.
About the Role
Reporting to the CEO, this is a new role for the organisation. You will take the lead in shaping and delivering the People strategy that supports their continued organisational growth and a high-performance culture.
You’ll manage and lead the end-to-end HR function, including recruitment, performance management, organisation design, employee engagement and culture, along with compliance and change initiatives.
This is a superb opportunity for someone currently working as a HR Manager or HR Business Partner with 6–7 years’ experience, including at least 3 years in a management or team lead role. It offers excellent exposure working closely with the Senior Leadership Team and ExCo, with a genuine ability to put your own stamp on this newly created Head of People & Culture position.
Key Focus Areas
- Lead and implement the HR strategy aligned with business goals.
- Drive recruitment, onboarding, and retention plans and initiatives.
- Manage employee relations and develop EVP as the business continues to grow and attract new talent.
- Oversee and proactively manage performance, learning, and development programmes.
- Support organisational change and policy development.
Ideal Requirements
- Degree in HR, Business, or related field; CIPD/postgrad preferred.
- 7+ years’ experience in a HRBP/HR Manager role, including 3+ years leading a team or function.
- Strong knowledge of Irish employment law and HR best practice.
- Proven ability to influence and advise senior stakeholders.
- Passion for HR and company culture, with a track record of driving change and continuous improvement.
- Sector experience in environmental or waste management a plus.
- Background in FMCG, renewables, utilities, B2C/B2B services, or professional services also considered ideal.
