Reporting to the Chief Human Resources Officer, the VP of Talent Development & Learning shapes and executes talent strategies that support Watts' vision, values, and business objectives while promoting a high-performance culture and advancing employee growth. The successful incumbent will oversee the strategy and execution of learning & development, talent management and inclusion programs that empower employees of all levels of the organization.
The VP is responsible for enterprise-level design, implementation, and ongoing evaluation of Watts talent management, learning and development and inclusion programs related to performance management, employee onboarding, engagement & retention, learning and leadership development, succession planning and culture. Relying on data from HRIS systems and integrating employee feedback into analysis, the VP leads the design of tools, and training to inform talent decisions to drive HR investments that support our culture and employee experience.
Responsibilities And Duties
- Provides overall leadership, management, and strategic vision for the Talent Management and Learning COE
- Develops and implements enterprise-level talent management strategies, initiatives, and programs that support the recruitment, development, and retention of our employees, in alignment with best practices, Watts corporate strategy, and inclusion principles
- Creates and maintains the enterprise-level talent management frameworks, including performance management, employee development, career pathways, leadership development, talent assessment and coaching and succession planning
- Responsible for embedding the Watts inclusion strategy throughout all talent management systems, structures, and processes.
- Drives the development and implementation of enterprise-level global employee learning strategy, leadership framework and development programs to enhance employee skills, knowledge, and performance. Leverages insight into business needs, partners with business lines and corporate functions to develop targeted content. Ensures adult learning theory, consistency, adaptability, and cultural relevance.
- Collaborates closely and inclusively with HRD’s and with stakeholders across the company, demonstrates excellent customer service, and provides timely consultative expertise to help find solutions for emerging HR challenges.
- Leads the analysis of feedback collected from employee engagement surveys, ad hoc surveys, exit surveys, and other avenues to inform talent and culture investments
- Oversees metrics, assesses program effectiveness, and delivers insights on ROI through data visualization, impact measurement, and strategic reporting to inform leadership decisions.
- Drives optimization and adoption of LMS platform, ensuring it supports modern and engaging learning experiences.
- Leads and collaborates closely with the HR leadership team in the development and roll-out of HR professional standards, guidance, and training to support consistent and strengthened HR management across Watts
- Manages the Talent Management & Learning teams, provides frequent and timely feedback, mentors staff for growth, and conducts annual performance management reviews
What You’ll Need
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required, Master’s degree highly preferred
- 15 years’ professional experience in HR with at least 10 years’ experience operating in a leadership capacity overseeing Talent and Learning and Development Center of Expertise
- Proven ability to develop and implement enterprise-wide talent and learning strategies
- Extensive experience in designing, delivering, and evaluating leadership development programs, employee surveys, succession planning
- Must have experience working in and supporting manufacturing/operating teams in a complex global environment
- Previous experience as HR Business Partner strongly preferred
- Strong business acumen, clear ability to partner strategically with senior business leaders and roll up sleeves to deliver tactical operating plans
- Strong leadership and ability to build relationships and influence across all functions and levels both inside and outside the organization
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A team player who serves as an advisor, change agent and manager of results
- Driven self-starter with a strong attention to detail
- Experience with Workday HRIS
- Ability to travel 20%
