The role of Director, Learning and Leadership Development (LLD) is responsible for the effective coordination, implementation, and delivery of the learning and leadership development strategy for the North America OU.
This role is part of the Global Learning and Leadership Development COE network, integrating local OU learning needs with the global Talent and Development strategy. Reporting to the Senior Director, Talent & Development, the role ensures strong alignment between learning, leadership development, capabilities, and talent management strategies. The role also consults with the business, providing fit-for-purpose learning and development solutions.
What You’ll Do For Us
- Serve as a consultant and SME on the learning and leadership development agenda, offering best practice insights, expertise, and thought leadership to HR and business stakeholders.
- Understand and address the specific needs of key business stakeholders in NAOU by working with relevant COE experts to tailor and localize solutions where needed.
- Develop, deliver, and evaluate learning and development programs and interventions to address business needs and impact outcomes.
- Identify performance gaps and provide fit-for-purpose solutions.
- Promote an integrated learning model that accelerates business growth.
- Align NAOU learning with the enterprise strategy, planning deployment of global solutions while addressing local needs. Collaborate with the COE on unsolved challenges requiring global input.
- Work with Learning Delivery Managers for the execution of learning, leadership, and enterprise solutions.
- Partner with Learning Operations on vendor management, reporting, and LMS administration.
- Distinguish between learning and non-learning needs, engaging appropriate partners in each case.
- Localize and commercialize global solutions as required, and advise COEs in shaping global approaches.
- Lead fit-for-purpose learning and development solutions, ensuring integration with key talent practices such as succession planning, talent segmentation, and senior leader development.
- Collaborate with the Capabilities Snr Director on the L&D budget to prioritize investment in critical learning needs.
- Oversee NAOU deployment of global programs (e.g., Career Month, Education Assistance, Mentoring) and own content design for local programs (e.g., ReNew You, Trust workshops).
- Manage vendors, including collaboration, expectation-setting, procurement, and invoicing.
- Work with PACS on internal communication plans to increase awareness of key messaging, frameworks, and experiences.
- Partner with People Analytics to evaluate the effectiveness of learning investments and provide regular insights.
- Facilitate key learning programs (e.g., Step into Leadership, Valence) and leadership team meetings as needed.
Qualifications & Requirements
- 8-10 years in learning, capabilities and skill development, or talent development.
- Strong understanding of integrated learning solutions and COE models.
- Proven experience in capability and leadership development.
- Experience as a country or regional learning manager.
- Able to work in a matrixed team environment requiring collaboration, co-creation, and influencing without direct authority.
- Expertise in managing ambiguity, competing priorities, and balancing complexity.

Pay Range:$143,600 - $164,700
