We’re looking for a strategic and people-centric HR leader to join our team as the Director of Employee Experience*. Reporting directly to the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), this role is critical in shaping our culture, enabling high performance, and driving organizational growth. You will lead key people functions including talent acquisition, compensation, organizational design, employee engagement, performance management, and leadership development. You’ll also play a key role in supporting our global people strategy, including M&A integration and regional HR needs. You will partner closely with cross-functional leaders, coach people managers, and build data-informed strategies to attract, retain, and develop top talent.
What You’ll Do
- Compensation: Design, manage, and evaluate compensation frameworks that support our business strategy and drive fairness, equity, and performance.
- Organizational Design & Succession Planning: Lead strategic workforce planning, team design, and succession strategies to enable scalable growth.
- Talent Acquisition Oversight: Manage the recruiting function and ensure consistent, inclusive hiring practices.
- People Data & Strategy: Drive a data-informed HR strategy; lead metrics, dashboards, and insights to inform executive decision-making.
- Performance Management: Design and lead performance management processes that promote continuous feedback, drive accountability, and support employee development. Ensure alignment with business goals and a culture of high performance.
- Employee Engagement & Retention: Collaborate with leaders to build data-informed strategies that enhance employee experience, strengthen connection to purpose, and support long-term retention. Leverage engagement surveys, stay interviews, and action planning to proactively address culture and morale.
- Leadership Development & Coaching: Build and scale learning and development programs; serve as an internal coach to key leaders.
- Diversity & Employee Support: Champion inclusive practices across the employee lifecycle, ensuring alignment with our values and business goals. Partner with leaders to embed DEI principles into hiring, development, and engagement strategies. Support, facilitate, and grow Employee Support Groups (ESGs).
- Employee Relations & Internal Communications: Lead employee relations strategy with a focus on fairness, compliance, and risk mitigation; oversee investigations, ensure consistent practices, and partner with legal as needed. Drive internal communications that foster clarity, transparency, and trust.
- M&A Support: Contribute to due diligence, org planning, and post-close integration efforts.
- Global HR Support: Partner with regional teams to align talent strategies across geographies.
What You’ll Need
- Extensive experience (7-10 years) across key HR disciplines, including talent acquisition, compensation, data analytics, and HR business partnering.
- HR certification (SHRM-SCP or SPHR).
- Demonstrated leadership of people teams in fast-paced, high-growth environments, preferably within private equity-backed companies.
- Strong people management and leadership experience, with a track record of building, mentoring, and scaling high-performing teams across multiple HR functions.
- Track record of success in organizational design, engagement, and performance management.
- Demonstrated experience supporting mergers and acquisitions, including due diligence, organizational integration, change management, and aligning people strategies through transitions.
- Familiarity with Canadian and India labor and talent practices a plus.
- Strategic thinker with hands-on execution skills and strong executive presence.
- Experience building and leading cross-functional people teams.
- Deep commitment to inclusive practices and values-driven leadership.
