SASMAR is looking for an experienced and strategic Head of People to lead our Human Resources function across our global operations. With our headquarters now based in Ta' Xbiex, Malta, and additional locations in Sydney, Hong Kong, Mumbai, Malta, London, and Chicago, we are a dynamic and fast-growing pharmaceutical company specializing in personal care and fertility products, including our well-known Conceive Plus brand. Our products are distributed in over 70 countries through various channels such as supermarkets, clinics, hospitals, pharmacies, and drugstores.
In the role of Head of People, you will play a critical part in shaping our organizational culture, enhancing employee engagement, and driving HR strategies that align with our business goals. You will lead a passionate HR team and work collaboratively with senior leadership to attract, develop, and retain top talent across SASMAR.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement innovative HR strategies and programs to support the overall business objectives
- Oversee talent acquisition, performance management, employee engagement, learning and development, and succession planning initiatives
- Drive a culture of high performance and continuous improvement through effective change management processes
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on HR-related matters, providing insights and recommendations to drive organizational effectiveness
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations across all countries of operation
- Lead employee relations efforts, addressing any issues or concerns to foster a positive workplace culture
- Enhance and promote learning and development of our employees
- Manage the HR budget and ensure efficient use of resources for HR programs and initiatives
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; a Master's degree or HR certification is preferred
- Proven experience in a senior HR leadership role, ideally in a global organization
- Strong knowledge of HR best practices, labor laws, and regulations across multiple countries
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement effective HR strategies and initiatives
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Experience in managing complex employee relations issues and navigating organizational change
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in HR software and technologies, with the ability to leverage data for informed decision-making
- Passionate about fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace
