INVITES APPLICATIONS FOR THE FOLLOWING POSITION

CONTINUING AND ADULT EDUCATION NIGHT SCHOOL TEACHER

ENG3C/4C and OLC3O/4O

Location: Virtual

Commencing:September 16, 2024 to November 25, 2024

Salary: Continuing Education Hourly Rate

Reports to: Kim Harbinson, Learning Services Administrator

Duties and Responsibilities:

Six hours of online instruction Tuesday and Thursday, and three hours of facilitation weekly;
Implement effective student assessment practices (e.g., descriptive feedback) within the virtual learning environment;
Enhanced curriculum-based content to integrate differentiated instructional strategies designed to improve student; engagement and foster deeper learning; and
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience:

Teacher in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers; and
Intermediate/senior qualifications required in the course subject area English
A valid Ontario driver's license and reliable vehicle.

Assets :

Experience with Office 365 and Aspen;
An understanding of effective learning teaching, assessment strategies, and differentiation;
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills;
Excellent oral and written communication skills; and
Knowledge of the board approved virtual learning environment (Brightspace or O365 Teams)

Eligible to work in Canada
Clean Vulnerable Sector Police Check
