Are you looking to join a dynamic and fast-paced team in a fully remote environment? We are seeking a motivated and proactive Operations and HR Assistant to support our operational and HR efforts and help ensure the smooth running of our organization. In this role, you will play an important role in supporting our recruitment processes, maintaining internal documentation, planning team and community events, and supporting various operational needs across departments.
This position requires a high level of autonomy, excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. You will not only be working closely with the Operations team, but will also be working on a diverse set of tasks with the various departments of the organization. An ideal candidate would be a self-starter with a ‘jack of all trades' set of experiences under their belt, being able to effectively contribute and leverage their skills in operations, HR and event planning related fields. Often working with different departments, you will need to be an excellent communicator in order to effectively coordinate and execute on initiatives across teams and projects in the company.
Your day to day activities will include the following:
- Support the development and maintenance of the organization's daily operations and HR activities
- Assist in recruitment, hiring and on/off-boarding processes
- Help set up and maintain the tools and software used by the organization, providing support where needed
- Assist in creating and maintaining internal documentation of organizational processes and actions
- Contribute to external content for platforms like Medium, Workable, and Gitbook under the guidance of senior team members
- Assist in the research, planning, and organization of meetups, including Beam events and team get-togethers
- Research and make recommendations for improvements to our existing infrastructure
Requirements
- Proven experience in operations or HR management, preferably in a fully remote or technology-focused company
- Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively with asynchronous crossfunctional teams
- Experience in using tools and software related to operations and HR functions.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and make decisions in a fast-paced environment
