Position Summary
Organizational Development & Learning Consultant, Organizational Development: As an Organizational Development & Learning Consultant, you will be responsible to design, implement and deliver a wide range of organizational development and learning, and talent development services to leaders and employees, in order to enhance individual, team, and organizational performance and build organizational capability and capacity as a Learning Organization. You are highly organized, able to succeed in a fast paced environment, and are eager to engage with new challenges every single day. You have great coaching, facilitating and presentation skills. You also have excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. The position supports the hospital’s academic mandate by advancing care through teaching and learning and/or transforming care through research and innovation. You will also take on the shared responsibility for ensuring that health and safety policies are followed to provide for a healthy environment for patients, staff, physicians, volunteers and families.
On a practical level, you will
- Design and deliver evidence-based talent deliverables, curricula for various programs and cohorts, processes and tools including on-boarding, integration of on-line development tools and classroom learning.
- Conduct on-going needs assessment to identify organizational learning needs and enhance employee, physician and volunteer engagement.
- Design and curate internal and vendor lead sessions, seminars, workshops and large group meetings/retreats.
- Development and maintenance of an organizational career development process and support of the hospital Talent Management program.
- Provide Organizational Development guidance, advisory and strategic consultative services to support leaders and teams.
- Utilize methodologies, tools and approaches for leading, learning and required interventions, including change management, and facilitate the development of highly effective inter-professional teams.
- Keep up-to-date of current organizational development trends and developments in learning and instructional methodologies, including learning technologies, to ensure the hospital is using leading edge development methods.
Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in Organizational Development, Adult Education, Human Resources, or a related discipline, required.
- Change management designation preferred (e.g. Prosci, Sundance, etc.)
- Psychometric assessment tool designation preferred (e.g. MBTI, P.I., HPI, etc.)
- E-learning development and authoring tool experience is an asset (e.g. Articulate, RISE, Camtasia, etc.)
- 3+ years in Organizational Development, Talent, and Learning or related function.
- Experience in corporate wide organizational development, talent management and learning initiatives.
- Knowledge/experience in healthcare setting, an asset.
- Highly developed understanding of methodologies and approaches for: learning, assessment and analysis of learning needs, strategic planning, organization design, leadership development, change management, performance management, facilitation, coaching, diversity and conflict management.
- Demonstrated ability to use a systems thinking approach when developing learning strategies.
- Proven and advanced MS Office suite applications including MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and other publishing applications such Adobe Pro.
- Experience with and/or knowledge of technology enabled learning and learning management systems, is preferred.
