Head of People Projects (6-month FTC)
We have an exciting new role for an experienced Head of People to work on specific projects for a national deaf health charity.

Location: Remote
Salary: £60,000 per annum
Hours: Full Time, 37 hours per week
Contract: 6-month FTC
About the role:
As Head of People Projects, you will be responsible for delivering specific projects, including transferring two pension schemes to one new provider, managing payroll audit findings, and developing a centralised training matrix.
Key responsibilities include:
- Support the Director of People in delivering the charities strategy, 3-year plan, and People Strategy.
- Prepare for Board, People and Pay Committee, and Executive Leadership Team meetings, including report writing and developing HR dashboards and KPIs.
- Provide leadership, advice, and guidance from a People perspective to drive ambitions.
- Identify and highlight people-related risks and provide analysis to support decision-making to mitigate risks.
- Develop and distribute regular reports using the charities HR system to assist in understanding HR performance against key performance indicators.
- Coordinate pay policies and advise senior management on staff salaries in reference to external benchmarks.
- Recruitment, Employee Relations, Compensation and Benefits, Employee Engagement, Health and Wellbeing, Learning and Development, and Performance Management.
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and training to managers as required.
- Collaborate with the People team to develop action plans to increase staff engagement and wellbeing.
- Develop and implement business partnering to drive a proactive HR service.
- Support the team in managing grievances, misconduct, attendance, and disciplinary cases.
- Oversee payroll, pensions, and employee benefits accurately and efficiently.
Essential skills:
- CIPD level 7 or equivalent experience with evidence of continuous professional development.
- Senior leadership HR/People experience.
- Knowledge of latest employment legislation and best practices.
- Strong diplomacy and people skills.
- Developing team members and empowering staff.
- Ability to influence and negotiate.
- Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a varied workload.
- Passion for collaborating with people and working beyond the confines of the job description.
