Head of Learning – Europe
About the Role
DP World is looking for an experienced Head of Learning for Europe. This is an excellent opportunity to lead the learning centre for the Europe region, which includes all learning processes, practices, policies, teams, and systems. The position reports directly to our VP of Organizational Talent and Development Europe and is responsible for establishing and maintaining a regional learning capability. The goal is to become a best-in-class learning centre, a single point of contact for all learning needs, a learning expert for solution design, and a learning partner for our HR and business stakeholders.
NOTE: This role can be based in either, London UK, Duisburg Germany, or Rotterdam Netherlands. A hybrid opportunity with some travel across Europe required.
How you will contribute
Learning Strategy & Design
- Develop regional learning strategy that interfaces with the talent and leadership capabilities, supports all learning stakeholders, and upholds the 70-20-10 learning principle.
- Design the framework, tools and templates to facilitate learning needs analysis annually.
- Define, drive, and manage strategic projects and programs related to learning and development.
Learning Development and Delivery
- Design, develop and execute on learning needs, instructional design or vendor briefing (where required), tools and supporting collateral for bespoke and standard organisational learning outcomes.
- Support HRPBP’s defining learning needs and outcomes for specific requirements.
- Research, benchmark, develop and manage world class learning solutions.
- Partner with the hub in designing new learning solutions for Europe or customising existing programs for the Europe regional requirements.
Learning Administration
- Implement all learning & development governance policies, processes and procedures related to learning solutions.
- Manage mandatory learning plans and delivery, tracking expiry of certification and other key regulatory/ compliance learning needs and renewals.
- Identify, source, brief, monitor and manage 3rd party vendor contracts, relationships, rate cards and payments.
- Manage and ensure timeous and accurate reporting on learning and development solution activities. Including learning uptake and achievement against learning outcomes to support regional, group and audit requirements.
Leadership Development Strategy & Design
- Actively partner, influence and support the DP World group leadership development strategies and priorities.
- Design, develop and execute on leadership needs, learning design or vendor partnerships (where required), tools and supporting collateral for bespoke and standard leadership development outcomes.
- Define, drive and manage strategic projects and programs related to leadership behaviours, integration and development.
- Project manage all leadership learning program deployment across the region in alignment with the calendar and budget, working with local HR and business stakeholders for a seamless and professional experience.
What you will bring
- Possess a relevant Bachelor's degree, professional qualification, or certification in learning and development.
- Extensive experience in a similar role/environment supporting L&D operations in a large organisation.
- Significant experience creating and managing learning libraries and solutions.
- Demonstrated expertise creating, developing, and delivering leadership programs.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to successfully connect with stakeholders at all levels.
- System savvy with broad experience implementing LMS and E-Learning platforms.
- Exposure working with learners of different levels, channels, and languages across multiple geographies.
- Advantageous: experience in supply chain or logistics, as well as proficiency in multiple European languages.
