We are looking for a strong creative, forward-thinking candidate with exceptional strategic and execution skills to continue the growth of our L&D Organization. As an Associate Director, Learning Creation, you will have the opportunity to lead a dedicated group of individuals who are experts in creating the best in class learning experiences and lead teams who create learning experiences for our J&J Innovative Medicine North America Learning Excellence organization. The day-to-day responsibilities will require a combination of technical skills, creativity, collaboration, people leadership, stakeholder management and a commitment to creating effective and engaging learning experiences in a variety of modalities.
In This Role, You Will Be Responsible For
- Providing coaching, guidance, and management for team of Manager, Learning Creators to grow capabilities
- Partner with J&J Innovative Medicine North America Learning Excellence Learning Business Partners (LBPs), and Strategic Planning & Operations to understand learning demands prioritization, and provide perspective on in-house development capabilities and capacity
- Sense new and emerging practices to continue to evolve content development solutions and innovative ideas
- Oversee feedback on the overall learning experiences, preferred vendor experience / evaluation, and facilitator experience for continuous improvement for content development
- Coordinate with LBPs and business subject matter experts, in collaboration with Learning Architects and Learning Creators, to ensure content meets the needs and objectives of the business
- Collaborate closely with Director, Learning Architecture and the Content & Standards Associate Director to understand the overall plan for content / learning solutions design and development
- Identifying opportunities with the Global Design Team to leverage best practices and determining where efficiencies can be created as part of our content development process
- Develop strategy, standards, and guidance for effective learning development for J&J Innovative Medicine North America Learning Excellence
- Building a high performing team culture that delivers exceptional value to our stakeholder
- Developing and delivering high-quality final materials and learner-centric learning solutions, while also coaching and mentoring a team of Manager, Learning Creators, who lead teams of learning creators.
- Staying up-to-date on the latest learning design and development trends and technologies to apply innovative and modern development tools / techniques to develop learning solutions / materials Required Minimum Education : Bachelor's Degree; Masters in Learning/Instructional Technology Preferred
Other
- 8 years industry experience, with a minimum of 3 years in people management required
- Previous leading teams in Learning development teams
- Previous experience developing content in life science/pharmaceuticals, preferred
- Strong understanding of learning and development
- Experience leading learning transformations preferred
- Authoring Tools and Learning Technologies
- Well versed in Microsoft Office Products (Teams, SharePoint, Planner, MS Word, PPT, Excel, etc
The base pay range for this position is $118,000 to $203,550. The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation's performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company's discretion on an individual basis.
