Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Learning and Development to lead and enhance our company's learning initiatives. The successful candidate will design and implement comprehensive training programs that drive employee growth, organizational effectiveness, and strategic alignment. This role is pivotal in fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning: Develop and execute a strategic learning and development plan aligned with the company's goals and objectives. Assess current learning needs and identify future development opportunities.
- Program Development: Design and oversee the creation of engaging and impactful training programs, including leadership development, technical skills, compliance, and soft skills training.
- Leadership: Manage and mentor the Learning and Development team. Provide guidance and support to ensure effective program delivery and team performance.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with senior leadership, department heads, and HR to identify training needs and align programs with organizational goals.
- Evaluation and Improvement: Implement mechanisms to evaluate the effectiveness of learning programs. Use feedback and data to continuously improve training methodologies and outcomes.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage the learning and development budget. Ensure efficient allocation of resources and cost-effective program delivery.
- Vendor Management: Identify and manage relationships with external training vendors and consultants. Negotiate contracts and ensure the quality of outsourced training services.
- Innovation: Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in learning and development. Integrate innovative approaches and tools into training programs.
Qualifications - Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CPLP, SHRM-SCP) preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in learning and development, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role.

- Analytical skills with the ability to assess and interpret training needs and outcomes.
- Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and e-learning platforms.
