The Learning And Development Specialist delivers and facilitates training programs, conducts Training Needs Analysis (TNA), and manages annual training plans to ensure alignment with business and regulatory requirements. Tracks employee training, monitors compliance, and maintains accurate records and reports. Evaluates training effectiveness, enhances learning quality, and supports continuous improvement, while ensuring all programs meet aviation and GACA standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Training Delivery & Facilitation
- Conduct and facilitate training sessions and workshops for staff.
- Delivers group and individual instruction and training covering a range of technical, operational, and/or management areas in a specified field.
- Formulates training outlines and determines instructional methods, utilizing knowledge of specified training needs and effectiveness of such methods as individual training, group instruction, lectures, demonstrations, conferences, meetings, and workshops.
- Selects or develops training aids, including training handbooks, demonstration models, multimedia visual aids, computer tutorials, and reference works.
- Provide support and coaching to trainees.
Training Needs Analysis (TNA) & Enrolment Tracking
- Lead and coordinate the annual Training Needs Analysis (TNA) process across all departments in alignment with organizational objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain and update the annual training plan to ensure all mandatory and developmental training requirements are captured and tracked.
- Monitor and ensure registration and enrolment of all employees in their required training courses throughout the year, following up with department heads and line managers as needed.
- Track training completion rates at the individual, departmental, and organizational level, identifying gaps and escalating non-compliance to the L&D Manager.
- Generate and maintain accurate training records and reports to support audits, inspections, and regulatory compliance.
Evaluation, Feedback & Quality Assurance
- Oversee the collection, review, and analysis of post-training feedback forms (Kirkpatrick Level 1 and beyond) for all learning activities.
- Evaluate and score training courses, instructors/trainers, and external training institutes based on defined quality criteria and participant feedback data.
- Prepare structured evaluation reports with insights and recommendations for continuous improvement of training quality, delivery methods, and vendor performance.
- Maintain a database of training vendor and institute assessments to support informed decisions on renewal, replacement, or recommendation of external providers.
- Utilize evaluation data to support continuous improvement and instructional enhancements across all L&D programs.
Curriculum Development & Compliance
- Ensure training programs comply with aviation regulatory, safety, and operational requirements.
- Develops training curricula and/or recommends or utilizes vendor programs that meet instructional goals and objectives.
- Coordinate with internal departments and external stakeholders to support operational readiness, audits, and inspections.
- Coordinates or performs administrative functions necessary to deliver and document training programs.
- Assists in analysing and assessing training and development needs for individuals and departments.
- Support organizational capability building and business objectives through effective learning solutions.
Requirements:
- Saudi National
- Bachelor’s degree in education, Training and Development, or a related field.
- 1–3 years’ Experience in L&D and in conducting training sessions.
- Strong presentation and facilitation skills.
- Ability to assess training needs and create effective training plans.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to deliver training sessions.
- Holder of a Training of Trainers (TOT) certificate will be recommended.
- Experience in the aviation sector or airport operations environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of GACA regulations is preferred and considered a strong advantage.
