The Learning and Development Specialist will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and implementing comprehensive learning and development programs. This role involves creating structures, systems, and processes to foster a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
The ideal candidate will have a strategic mindset, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of building effective L&D initiatives from the ground up.
- Develop and Implement L&D Strategy:
- Create a robust learning and development strategy aligned with the company’s goals and objectives.
- Identify skill gaps and training needs through needs assessments and regular consultations with department leaders and Teyans.
- Design and execute programs to address identified needs and enhance overall performance.
- Program Design and Delivery:
- Develop engaging and effective training programs, workshops, and e-learning courses.
- Utilize various instructional methods to ensure maximum engagement and knowledge retention.
- Coordinate and deliver training sessions, ensuring they are tailored to diverse learning styles and needs.
- Learning Culture Promotion:
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development across the organisation.
- Promote and manage initiatives such as mentorship programs, lunch-and-learn sessions, and knowledge-sharing forums.
- Encourage and support employees in their pursuit of professional development opportunities.
- Evaluation and Improvement:
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, assessments, and performance metrics.
- Continuously improve training materials and methods based on feedback and industry best practices.
- Stay abreast of the latest trends and innovations in learning and development.
- Systems and Process Development:
- Implement and manage learning management systems (LMS) to streamline training delivery and tracking.
- Develop processes and guidelines for training programs, ensuring consistency and scalability.
- Maintain comprehensive training records and reports to track progress and outcomes.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with HR and other departments to ensure L&D initiatives align with broader organisational goals.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to promote L&D programs and encourage participation.
- Serve as a resource and advisor on learning and development best practices.
Your Story
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in learning and development, training, or a related role.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing effective training programs.
- Ability to engage effectively with senior leadership.
- Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
- Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning platforms.
- Strong organisational and project management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Certification in Learning and Development is a plus.
